This might be the most chaotic restaurant experience I’ve ever had, including a fire. Firstly, before even having ordered anything, we noticed how fast the waiters were walking in between the tables, between which was almost no space. They constantly bumped into each other. One of our waiters was very nice and calm, he had a man bun, he should seek a new, more professional place. Then things were falling everywhere, plates, glasses, menu cards, staff, literally before we got our meal, 6 things had fell. Then, while we were eating our mediocre food (the chicken was good, but the rest was very, and I mean very bad), one of the staff that was walking way too quick bumped into a hot plate on which you can grill your own food. The spiritus (fuel for the fire) splashed everywhere, setting not only him ablaze, but also two other customers who were sitting on different tables. Things like this can happen, but not when it’s caused by your incompetence and ignorance. Unbelievable, three people on fire, glasses falling everywhere, mediocre food on the ground. Then the owner, who is unbelievably rude and clumsy, came by and just scooped all of the glass, food, fuel and the hot plate right into the beautiful Annecy river, something I have never seen before, how could you ever do that? After this some clothes of the customers were fried and the waiter had a burn on his leg. This didn’t stop them to slow down and reset a bit, it looked as if they got even more stressed and were just dropping things everywhere, a different table was also laughing at them because they also couldn’t believe what they were seeing. Behind us was a Raclette machine, the electricity cable had to go between our legs, so we were lucky they didn’t trip over this cable which ran over the terrace, and got flaming hot cheese all over us. I have no words for this, if they gave me money (instead of the €28 you have to pay) for eating another main dish, I wouldn’t even accept it. Please, visit this place at...
Read moreRUDE AND UNWELCOMING STAFF. i am really disappointed, i saw many good reviews and decided to test this restaurant. My husband called them during the day to reserve but they said they don't take reservations, you just gotta come and take your place. We decided to go at 9 PM. When we got there it was very crowded and there were no free table. So we decided to stand in front of the restaurant and wait. We waited for about 20 minutes and NO ONE of the staff came to us, no one checked what we wanted or anything. Mind you they saw us and it was obvious we were waiting. Then minutes after a couple came next to us to wait and on of the staff who was literally ignoring us all along went to the couple and told them to wait :) at that moment i got so mad and went straight to him to tell him NICELY how we came first and were waiting all this time. He gave me a nasty look and told me "you gotta be patient madame".
Description of this man: very old with grey hair and white uniform i just saw a review talking about how RUDE this man is and provided a...
Read moreTourist trap. Terrible restaurant. The waiter was incredibly rude, think his name was Clement (well it says that on our receipt). Tall, dark hair with a beard. We did our very best to speak French (we’re Australia) but with any mistake he ridiculed us in front of other customers. He refused to hand me the receipt until I pronounced “Merci” to his liking which was completely humiliating as again this was in front of a crowd of French people. The food was dreadful- ridiculously overpriced. I had the fried small fish with chips, dry as dog food, and you could tell other customers weren’t enjoying it either. The pizza and wine were terrible too. Please don’t go here....
