My review is based on numerous visits to “Ô Libanais Vernet”. I can confidently say that it is one of my favorite restaurants in Avignon and one of the best lebanese restaurant i have ever tried in france. Based on my personal experience, here's a breakdown of the features of “Ô Libanais” along with a rating for each one on a scale of 1 to 5:
Location: the restaurant is located in one of the most famous luxurious streets of Avignon. It is calm, beautiful, and located in the center next to plenty of shops, therefore ideal for grabbing a bite especially during the Avignon festival. 5/5 Atmosphere: If you are not lured in by the mouth watering smell, the gorgeous decor of the shop surely will do the trick. The ambiance is a perfect blend of simplicity and elegance, complemented by delightful Lebanese music. The restaurant is also equipped with a terrasse. 5/5 Staff: Even if you're unfamiliar with Lebanese cuisine and can't distinguish between "shawarma lahme" and "shish tawouk", there's no need to worry. The staff is incredibly accommodating and will take the time to walk you through the menu and help you make the perfect decision. 5/5 Menu: Extensive with a wide variety of traditional lebanese dishes. Ideal for all ages. 4.5/5 Service: The orders are delivered very fast. So rest assured, during the festival you’ll have time to enjoy your dish and catch the play. 5/5 Food quality: I’ve tried several types of dishes, each more flavorful than the other. Every dish is expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. Each ingredient is fresh and carefully selected, resulting in a delicious and unforgettable culinary experience. It's truly some of the best food I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying, and I can't recommend it highly enough. 5/5 Hygiene: This restaurant takes hygiene very seriously, with impeccable standards evident from the spotless dining area to the immaculate kitchen. 5/5
In conclusion, this restaurant truly stands out in every way. The delicious food, impeccable hygiene standards, and outstanding service make for a truly unforgettable dining experience. Whether you're looking for a cozy spot for a romantic dinner or a lively atmosphere for a night out with friends, this restaurant is the perfect choice. I can't recommend it highly enough and can't wait to return for another...
Read moreI wish this restaurant exists everywhere I go, every sandwich is made to perfection, we tried most of them in 2 days.. I haven't had good lebanese food in a while, and I've been to many Lebanese restaurants internationally, almost all other restaurants' sandwiches are "fusion", with a nauseating mayo sauce and terrible ingredients and meat flavors... The weird thick pita that doesn't fully wrap around and is super messy (usually made Gyro style, which loses dramatically to the Lebanese sandwich style, I think objectively but I'll say it's my opinion haha) never had a good falafel internationally yet either, until O'Libanais.. I literally shed a tear after the first bite at O'Libanais, their sauces, the pita, the cooking technique, the FALAFEL🥹!!! The meats🤤 the salad and ingredients, everything was just insanely mmmmmmwaahhhhh ya wayleh wiliyahyah! Better than many restaurants even back home in Lebanon👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼🫶🏼 no way I tell you... Delicious.. and these people will warm your heart.. I can keep going on and on about this place, anyway you have to try it for yourself, you'll see what I'm blabbering on...
Read morePita Kafta is amazing! Meat is perfectly cooked, and the pickles and hummus splendidly accentuate the flavors. Components are high quality individually, and go really well together. We came as soon as they opened and after making rounds at different restaurants around town, had to come back and end the night strong :D
Best food we had in our entire 10 day Europe trip (Vienna-Bratslavia-Budapest-Grenoble-Avignon). Very friendly multilingual staff! Locally owned: family (husband and wife)...
