I visited Arcada in Bordeaux for lunch, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. The service was excellent from the moment I arrived. Each dish was presented beautifully, and the staff took the time to explain every element, with some final touches being completed at the table, which added to the overall experience.
I highly recommend this restaurant; it is undoubtedly one of the best in Bordeaux.
For my starter, I ordered the Velouté de petit pois à la cardamome verte, miroir jaune d’œuf, pickles de rhubarbes, émulsion au poivre Voastipérifery, condiment abricot - amandes. This dish was a delightful balance of flavours, with the fresh taste of peas perfectly complemented by the cardamom and the unique pepper emulsion.
My main course was the Magret de canard cuit basse température, velour de fenouil au miel de châtaignier, billes de courgettes rôties, gel acidulé à la cannelle, pickles de cerises, Jus végétal au vinaigre de fruit rouge. The duck was cooked to perfection at a low temperature, making it incredibly tender and flavourful. The combination of chestnut honey fennel, roasted courgette balls, and the tangy cinnamon gel, along with the pickled cherries, created a harmonious blend of sweet and savoury.
Overall, my experience at Arcada was outstanding, and I look forward to...

Overall: My dining experience at Arcada was flawless. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the food was truly perfect. The overall dining experience was unforgettable and worth every single penny. I will definitely be revisiting this amazing restaurant when I'm in Bordeaux. Certainly worth a visit.
Food: The three-course dinner included a pre-starter, as well as a small snack after we finished our dessert. The concept of every dish was well thought-out. It was innovative, and the flavours of each component matched each other incredibly well. The intricate plating on each item served to us created a feast for the eyes as well. As we progressed through the three-course menu, each dish complemented each other and was not overwhelming at all. The overall amount of food was also just nice.
Service: The team that served us that night could not be any better. They were fast, attentive and incredibly friendly. The staff spoke English well, explaining each component of the dishes as they were served. They also recommended us local wine from Bordeaux, which was delicious by itself and also complemented the food...

My travel partner and I were looking for an interesting French restaurant with a patio seating after visiting the huge wine museum. We rushed to get to Arcada before closing after lunch. The server was clearly busy serving an entire full restaurant and didn’t flinch when we arrived.
The food was out of the ballpark in terms of flavors. Wow. Modern, creative, delicious. For not much more than a steak frite, I had a full lunch including house made ravioli, 18 hour slow cooked beef with roasted potato, and a strawberry tartare.
The owner was friendly and apologized for the next door roof renovations. When I asked how long he had Arcada opened, he said only briefly before the bistro was forced to shut down because of lockdowns. It didn’t take long for Arcada to earn a strong following. I hope to be able to visit again next time I am...
