Gustave - Creative Street-Food — Restaurant in Bordeaux

Went on a rainy day after seeing an exhibition, the service was so welcoming, the menu was playful and unique - had something for everyone and affordable / worth every penny. We split two different sandwiches which were stacked with flavour, dipped it in a super creamy sweet potato and corn soup which was like a sauce, paired it with a salad and two refreshing beers. The best bit was seeing the employees seem to enjoy where they worked, they were happy and chatted to us like friends, it was relaxed and the music was a bonus. Can’t wait to visit again, love...

The takeout service felt very rushed, they forgot the knife and fork and mistakingly put oil all over a salad rather than vinaigrette which made it inedible. The beef sandwich however was very tasty but was filled with thym branches which wasn’t as pleasant at every bite taken. Nice banana bread, would recommend. Very confusing menu on different walls which doesn’t help. The sandwich lunch menu only includes water and you’ll have to pay extra for any other drink which is also a bit misleading. Amazing restaurant, with a straightforward menu and a big range of options, great service and atmosphere. Ordered the veggie burger, which was very tasty, the soup of the day, simply one of the best I’ve ever had, and the Le Carni.
