Mifan — Restaurant in Bordeaux

My recent experience at Mifan Restaurant in Bordeaux was a mix of ups and downs. While the food was good, the extended wait time left a lot to be desired.

Upon arriving at the restaurant, my party and I were excited to try their highly recommended dishes. We were greeted warmly by the staff and promptly seated. The ambiance was pleasant, and we were eager to dive into the menu.

However, our excitement turned to frustration as we waited for our food to arrive. Unfortunately, we had to endure an hour-long wait, which significantly impacted our overall experience. The delay was unexpected and left us feeling quite disappointed.

Thankfully, once the food did arrive, it was worth the wait. The flavors were vibrant, and the presentation was top-notch. Mifan's culinary creations truly showcased their expertise in Asian cuisine. The menu offered a wide variety of delectable options, and the portions were generous.

Despite the inconvenience of the wait time, the attentive and friendly service from the staff helped alleviate some of our frustration. They were apologetic and did their best to make our dining experience enjoyable.

Food was decent enough, waitress was lovely, guy in charge really should’nt be, Had a reservation Friday at 20.45h, two of our group in fairness did’nt arrive until 21.10h but we quickly ordered, enjoyed our food, but when we asked to order our dessert we were abruptly informed by the Manager ( we presume) that there was no chance whatsoever as it was 22.10h and it was too late to order dessert… a bit bizarre for a restaurant on a Friday evening that only had 3 other small tables eating , 1 minute later without asking our bill was rudely put on the table by the manager and we were asked to pay as they were now closing. Great Thai restaurant. Staff was welcoming and friendly. Despite not having a reservation they were able to fit us in on a busy night.

As soon as they could tell we were reaching the end of our French they were happy to switch over to English as best they could.

Very good cocktails. The May Thai was delicious. Another drink we ordered, they made sure we understood what kind of drink it was so we wouldn't be disappointed.

Food was delicious and was ready very fast.
