Beautiful and fun ambience with delicious duck confit and frites to match. The outdoor seating was beautifully decorated with some plants, and seats were spaced far apart enough for good conversation and privacy. Seemed to be a local spot and it was not too busy on a weeknight. The dinner service begins at 7:45pm in summer. We began with a Bordeaux red wine recommended by the sommelier that paired with our duck confit. Even though we asked for a strong red, the flavor was more like a medium body. It did pair well and tasted better with the duck confit. We started with a plat of jamon and chèvre to share. The jamon (12euro) was not particularly interesting and was a little hard to chew. The chèvre (12 euro) was surprisingly delightful, it was served between crispy flaky pastry and with some tomato sauce. The duck confit (16euro) is absolutely delicious, the meat was mostly tender and juicy, paired with tasty skin and fats. I did wish that the skin could be a little more crispy though. The fries came in a huge bowl for us to share and is one of my favourite in town so far. We ended the meal with a selection of desserts (8.50euro each). The pana cotta was the highlight even though it was simple - smooth and rich in flavor. The creme brûlée has a nice crust. The Mille feuille had a nice flaky layer and the custard was ok. The most disappointing was the profiteroles, which were flooded with chocolate sauce. The puffs became soggy and was a mess to eat. Overall, I really enjoyed my time here. Will be back if I visit Bordeaux again!

The restaurant requires urgent and necessary changes: they do not have a menu in English and the online translation of the menu is completely incomprehensible! It's the same with prices. The entrance to the restaurant looks completely neglected, the dishes are old, the decoration is as if it was never there. The food is edible, but the serving is at a very low level. The name of the bistro would suggest that it means wine. The waitress who served only understood the difference between red and white wine. I can't understand those who constantly write good reviews for this restaurant, so they should be checked urgently.

This fine place has 2 levels and a wide terrace under the sky and within the square of the bisrot. Also, a sommelier oriented wine list attracts with its authentic Bordeaux wine from 20 to 250 € per bottle, including Grand Crue Classe wine. A balanced cuisine menu allows you to order as dishes separately, the sae as formulas of 1-2-3 courses in a package deal. And all are of author's interpretation of the well known dishes. Whether I'll visit this place again? Certainly yes!✌🏻🍾🥂🍷

Our first time in Bordeaux , we randomly chose to stay at Chantry Hotel. We were hungry and decided to eat here, literally steps from the hotel.

Absolutely great first impression from the man who was at the front. Their wait staff is amazing , attentive and very patient. They do have an English menu. When I say they are amazingly patient I mean it. I would have thrown us out several times but they were great.

The food is fantastic, every aspect of it. We have three different meals, cheese, wine, and dessert. We all have a different palate but agree everything was AMAZING.

Definitely the best treatment, food , and outdoor patio. I would eat here every day !

Thank you for the service and sorry about...
