Snickelfritz — Restaurant in Bordeaux

I think I have found my favourite doughnuts (no exaggeration) in the world at Snickelfritz! Comparing MANY bakeries in New York and London, but no, this fantastic independent place in Bordeaux offers something unique and delicious that makes me want to hop on a plane just to taste them again. A small and charming bakery/cafe, there were 9 of us and I think we tried almost every flavour of their doughnuts. I personally fell in love with the maple bacon. My husband’s favourite was the PB&J -filled to literally bursting as was the Boston cream that my son had. The orange blossom was also perfect. I think I need to consider moving from London to Bordeaux (haha, they are THAT good!)

We made a special trip to Bordeaux while on holiday in Duras to visit Snicklefritz as we are big doughnut fans. They did not disappoint! Flavours are incredible, service fantastic and the best jam doughnut ever! A small donut shop run by a small team of passionate and friendly people selling homemade fresh donuts made from scratch daily. Not much of a dessert person, but their Boston Cream and Hibiscus donut is the one thing that I crave when I’m in the mood for dessert.
