The atmoshere / ambience in The Cock and Bull beats all other pubs / bars in Bordeaux and I've tried a few! The barmen/women are super welcoming and don't laugh at you when you pronounce pint 'pinte in french' wrong..... they all speak english anyway, being a British pub. The clientele are mostly french which shows you how much this small pub has achieved. I can't comment on the quality of the food as I haven't eaten there, they don't pretend to be a gastropub! There are 4 screens showing sport all the time (huge screen for important matches). Despite the sport on offer, The Cock and Bull has managed to pull off the balance between being a 'Sports pub' and a 'Local'. Hats off to them! I...

Nice beers, ~7 euros for a demi. Quite a rowdy young crowd in the evening, expect noise and not much space. The football screens work well. Personally, I prefer the Sherlock Holmes, where one has more comfortable seating and a bit more room. But then I am 39; if I was 19, maybe I'd prefer this place :) My friend said the...

Normally a good place to watch a match but I can't understand how, during the Rugby Champions Cup Final, when the pub is full, there is just ONE poor girl working in the bar????
