TAJMAHAL — Restaurant in Cognac

When we walked past this restaurant earlier in the day I said to my wife and son that we should come back for tea. They weren't keen.

I should have listened. Whilst there is nothing wrong with this place (service was ok, decor is kind of 1970's curry house chic) it is just a great big missed opportunity to be amazing.

Portion sizes were small, quality ok, bread was pretty good. Nothing special. Since when does a vindaloo have no chilli? None?

You can measure how you will feel about this by applying the inverse of how much you love food from the sub continent. If you really love it you will be hugely disappointed. If you are French, where there are very few Indian restaurants, you may think...

Really love this place. Helps me to connect with my roots. Their food are soooo delicious that I have to eat with my hands. The lamb kashmiri and the suji halwa make me think of my mama. Do not think twice !!! JUST GO THEREEEEEEEEEEE AND HAVE YOUR LUNCH OR DINNER. I do not know the name of the writer but he is sooo friendly, have good manners. We were well received. After showing our Covid pass we could sit down outside. Dinner was good. Naan could be somewhat better. Once finished I went for the payment with a Credit Card. I asked for a receipt as in every restaurant I go. Was quite difficult. At the end one waiter (not the friendly guy who served us) throwed me the note and said 'anyway your accountant can not read this'. I was quite upset by such behabiour. I haven't never experienced...
