A nice size hotel, reception was nicely staffed, brisk and precise. |Our twin room was just a bit neat in size for two twin beds and the two of us with our gear for three nights, but comfortable bed with clean fresh linen, bath towels were large, clean and fluffy white. |The ensuite was good, bath and shower, but no shower screen!|Breakfast was continental, plenty of it, fresh meats and cheese but not a great selection, plus croissants, fruit, yogurt and coffee machine. |Always clean where ever you went, and adequate parking in secure area at rear of hotel. |Robert at reception was more than helpful and always with a smile. |With a bar and seating area which is not large, but pleasant to sit in, this is a nicely run homely hotel, quiet and relaxing, and handy for the central area nearby. Nice to recommend. |Also, opposite the hotel is a great little wine bar serving a wonderful selection of wines and snacks, hosted by a very experienced sommelier, who knows what it's all about. |Well worth a visit. ||Get...

Read moreI more or less expected what we got.||||A very dated, low key hotel, with rooms and facilities to match.||||It was clean however, but the a/c was a token guesture in our room, not unless it was turned off or broken ?||||We did take advantage of the safe, secure parking to the rear of the hotel, which was charged at 6 euros.||||As correctly stated in previous reviews, the hotels strongest asset is its proximity to the local bars and restaurants, which are at the top of its road.||||Cognac:||||It was our first time of visiting. There is a nice sprinkling of bars and restaurants around the main island, which is busy and noisy with traffic. We also found an Indian restaurant.||||A full day and night here would most probably be adequate.||||Gary...||||Helpful votes...
