Came here after finding this in the Michelin Guide. I almost exclusively go to restaurants in the Bib Gourmand category as I find they cook inventive, interesting food. Really wanted to like this place as it seemed to be run by two women - one in the kitchen and one on the floor - but the food is home style at best, without the usual polish or interest that I would expect from a Bib restaurant. The service was functional, not friendly. I'm really sorry to say this as it felt like a small, family run restaurant but I didn't enjoy my meal there. The dishes lacked clarity in direction. My entree was a prawn risotto with cheese crisp and peas, and I found the flavours confusing - seafood and cheese? The rice was overcooked, not al dente. Good wine list though, with solid, well priced options by the glass. The cheese plate was also disappointing - the waitress couldn't even name all the cheeses, and the three cheeses served were all semi-soft so the plate lacked variety and dimension. Food took ages to arrive - over two hours. Not sure what was going on here as there were a total of 12 diners in the restaurant all evening, but they were turning away customers - I can only assume they were short staffed on...

We were a party of 4 and none of us liked the food. It was a fix menu (starter, dish, dessert) without alternative options to choose, except for the starter, which offered 3 options to choose from. However, the option I chose was already gone and I was forced to pick something else that I didn’t want.
All the parts of the dinner didn’t taste that well, and we saw nobody special about it. My daughter hated the food and barely ate it.
Very slow service. It took us over 2 hours to go through the 3 courses.
Now the utmost low light to the experience: one of the starters was served with clams in their shelves. When I bite one of these clams, there was a rock inside and broke my tooth. I told this incident to the lady in charge. Some time later, she came back saying she talked to the chef, they were very sorry for it and wanted to offer me a cheese platter as a courtesy, which I obviously refused. How come someone offer a cheese platter for a broken tooth??? Nonsense!
When I asked for the bill, the lady told me they discounted 8 euros due to the incident and recommended me a dentist in the...
Read moreA must visit for Dijon! And you MUST book as it was full and people were turned away.
The set menu is 40 euros without drinks, if you have the cheese board for dessert it's 3.75 euros extra.
Both starters were fantastic! (I tried my boyfriend's too!)
The cremant fizzy wine was lovely, 7 euros a glass, and white wine and cassis, kir, is a similar price. They have beers as well as wine. It would be good to have more soft drinks on the menu.
The "piglet" main was really tender and served with some tasty vegetables that ressembled mini turnips and the tastiest mushrooms you have ever tried, "pieds des moutons", the waitress said. The staff are really attentive woth cheerful quick service.
You'll need to let the restaurant know when you book if you are vegetarian, as there isn't another option so I don't know whether this is accommodated.
The bergamot sorbet was exquisite!
The place was relaxing, with nice music but low enough for a good chat.
A clean unisex toilet too with thick toilet roll,...
