We wanted to introduce ourselves to French cuisine, and this restaurant was the perfect choice! Our first visit was for dinner. We ordered the bœuf bourguignon, which was exceptionally tender with a rich and flavorful sauce, perfectly paired with glasses of Côte du Rhône. For dessert, the moelleux chocolat framboise with vanilla ice cream was a wonderful finish to the meal. We liked it so much that we returned another day for lunch and opted for the menu du marché (appetizer, main course, and dessert), which offered great value for money and quality (the quiche served as the starter was especially delicious). The space is beautiful and cozy. Furthermore, even though we didn't speak French, the waiter was extremely attentive and kind to us. We had a flawless experience on both visits!

We were hoping for a decently priced traditional Dijon meal. We found a reasonable menu at Jardin des Halles. For starters Œufs Meurette: eggs poached in red wine. Not too exciting but a deliciously flavored sauce to dunk bread in; and Jambon Persillé, a sort of pate with ham mixed with parsley. Main dishes were Boeuf Bourguignon, a beef stew in red wine, not heavy, and a Supreme de Volaille in a cream-mustard sauce, sadly the chicken was dry, served with a good gratin. Dessert was crème brûlée au pain d’épices, ie with a gingerbread flavor. Service was excellent. We paired the meal with a few glasses of wine, our favorites: the white Chablis and the red Pinot Noir.

Firstly I must say, the food here is lovely. Great starter, main and desert. However, do not come here unless you have 3 hours to spare. Each course took an hour to arrive, despite us being the first to arrive, and others in the restaurant did not have the patience my family had and left due to food taking too long. The staff seem to be unorganised, however I do have some sympathy as there seems to be no manager, and perhaps they are short staffed in the kitchen causing the delays. I should add, it is in a lovely location in the heart of Dijon, with good atmosphere, however it is a shame about the slow service, as this restaurant definitely has a lot of potential

My review is based on a very unpleasant personal experience, which is unrelated either to the quality of the food and reviews of other customers. While hospitality industry in France represents good and friendly service, this particular restaurant does quite the contrary in their treatment of guests. Without the intention of wanting to ruin the reputation of the place, I feel obliged to share my experience of how my family and I got LITERALLY KICKED OUT OF A RESTAURANT for the first time in our lives. When we entered, we were shown to our seats and told that someone would soon check our health passes. The waitress only showed up 15 minutes later, by which time my wife was talking on the phone. The waitress insisted that we immediately show her our health passes. My wife politely indicated that she was taking an urgent call; in response, the waitress shouted at us that producing oue health pass is just as urgent. Needless to say, our health passes were all valid and in good order. When we asked her to give us the same degree of politeness as we demonstrated towards her, she shouted at us again in hatred and arrogance and asked us to immediately leave the premises. I fully understand if a restaurant is understaffed and its servers are stressed out, I am unwilling to accept VERBALLY ABUSE BEHAVIOR AND ARROGANCE. It goes against good taste and, most of all, those human values that we consider fundamental in today's world. If the food at this venue is as tasteless as the staff they have, I am better off not having tried it. Any restaurant management should take this review to heart and consider dismissing the staff responsible for this gross demeanor. Apart from this, all other gastronomical experiences in town were...

Please think twice before going to this restaurant. We looked at a few in the area before we chose to eat here, but appearances (it looks very appealing) can be very deceiving.

I was hungry and really looking forward to a light, tasty salad after many wonderful meals out across France over the past 2 weeks but what I received was nothing short of shocking.

I will offer a few adjectives which I used when the lovely serveuse asked me about my meal - tasteless, bland and completely unimaginative! Lettuce, tomato, grated carrot, grated red cabbage, quinoa and some indescribably horrendous courgette mixture (I love courgettes and all these ingredients usually!). NO seasoning at all (asked for vinaigrette and received a bottled version) so had to add salt to make it at all palatable. I was so hungry I nibbled what I could and told the serveuse my thoughts which she was very kind to listen to and mention to her manager.

It could have ended here as I very, very rarely complain … it was a bad food choice (in view of the dish I received) BUT the manageress approached me after hearing my concerns and was extremely rude and totally unprofessional which shocked me enough to write this review.

I wish I had read up more about this place before I chose to eat here on my only...
