La Torre di Filippo il Buono (Tour Philippe le Bon) è una delle principali attrazioni di Digione, testimone del prestigioso passato medievale della città sotto il dominio dei duchi di Borgogna. Costruita tra il 1450 e il 1460 per volere del duca Filippo il Buono, la torre si erge per 46 metri nel cuore del Palazzo dei Duchi e degli Stati di Borgogna. 

L’architetto Jean Poncelet progettò questa struttura a forma di trapezio leggermente curvo, composta da sei piani. Originariamente concepita come torre di guardia, divenne simbolo del potere e dell’autorità dei duchi di Borgogna. 

Per raggiungere la sommità, i visitatori devono salire 316 gradini di una scala a chiocciola. Durante la salita, le guide spesso si fermano per illustrare intricati intagli all’interno della torre, arricchendo l’esperienza con dettagli storici e artistici. Una volta in cima, si può godere di una vista panoramica a 360 gradi sulla città di Digione e sulle aree circostanti.  

Le visite alla torre sono guidate e durano circa 45 minuti. È necessario registrarsi in anticipo, indipendentemente dall’età, e i bambini sotto i 3 anni possono essere registrati alla tariffa più bassa disponibile.
