Karma Lounge — Restaurant in Gex

1/10 service, 5/10 food. Smaller portions & extremely rude service.

This was our second time there, as we didn’t know of other restaurants in the area. But instead of treating returning customers better, the service got worse. The server barely acknowledged us, didn’t make eye contact, always looking elsewhere ..even when interacting with us, while taking orders, giving the bill and seemed upset for some reason the whole time. I can’t understand how people keep coming back here—I've seen other reviews mentioning the same attitude for a while now. It’s hard not to wonder if his rudeness had something to do with us being of the same ethnicity as his.

When I asked for the bill, he told me to go to the counter, even though I saw him bringing other customers their bills at the table. Not sure why he felt I had to go up to pay. When I asked why he couldn't just bring it to us, he finally agreed, but when he did, he literally threw the bill down and left before I could even pay. I had trouble with my international card, but he kept walking off, leaving us unattended. It took almost half an hour just to settle the bill. And it’s not like they were busy—they . Two waiters were just chatting near the door.

They seem more interested in getting customers in than actually treating them well. The food was decent but came in really small portions. Honestly, not worth it at all.

I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone ever. Even one of my hotel servers said this place isn’t popular among Indian restaurants in the area and rude service is a norm. when I told them about this bizzare experience. Total waste of...

Probably the worst service and food of all the Indian places in the Geneva area. If I could give it a minus score, I would.

We had a booking for 12 people, got there and were the first ones to be seated. 25 minutes and 2 requests later, someone actually came to take our order. Plat du jour menu card wasn't even provided before asked. About an hour after our order, the food started arriving. Mind you, the naan arrived and then 20 mins later, the curry. Seriously? The staff was sometimes courteous and sometimes outright arrogant. If you don't have the capacity, don't open the tables to serve. Period. The food that actually came out was not as per order in most cases. Some people's food never arrived! At one point we basically ate what they got us (which was rather unauthentic and sub-par) because we couldn't wait any longer. Did we complain about this situation? Yes. Was anything done to correct it? NO!

I've never been so disappointed by a restaurant before, and would seriously reconsider going...

Quality of food has decreased lately, very disappointing; no cashew nuts in korma sauce, only almonds, and almost no spices. Be very careful to ask for your bill and check it, because they several times make "mistakes" and overcharge you if you do not check your bill (they, in principle, do not give it to you, they just give you the total amount; you have to request the bill).
