Pétanque players, restaurant terraces under a huge lime tree overlooking the mountains, people slowly savouring their cafes or aperitif at Café de la Place, fried zucchini flowers on a slow paced afternoon. This postcard Provence life in 📍Saint Paul de Vence is actually true 🌿 #provence #france #europeansummer #beautifuldestinations #stayandwander #postcardsfromtheworld #cntraveler #slowtravel

There was no service there. You walk into the restaurant, the workers there don’t even acknowledge you. We had to ask if we could seat at a table. No waiter came to give us the menu, we had to get up to take them. We also had to try 2-3 times before the waitress came over to take our order. But she basically told us nothing was available on the menu, and there were only 2 available options. The tone she used wasn’t nice at all, as if she hated her job. The service was so bad we had to leave without ordering anything. I don’t recommend you going there if you’re hungry and just want to have a quick meal. You’ll wait forever because there’s just no service at all. The workers ignore you and look at you with a blank face, no smiles at all. Definitely don’t recommend!

We had lunch here on my birthday, Feb 23rd 2024 - the sun was out, temperature was juuuust above 18 degrees, not too many tourists yet and a very nice spot in the sun besides the infamous boule-lane where a couple of guys were showing of their skills. Service is very polite, efficient and with a nice sense og humor - we had a couple of Nicoise-salads which were big, colorful, tasy and very french. Good comfort food! A few softdrinks and a decent prices bill ended our lunch after about 2 hours in the sun. As a birthday present, I really could not ask for more. Enjoy!

Despicable...DO NOT RECOMMEND!

I wish Google Reviews had an option of negative ratings because giving one star to this place is also like over rating.

After a morning visit of this fantastic village, hoping to have a bite to eat, we asked for a table. The waiter ignored us until he finished his cigarette whilst in service. Seriously? Finally seated we waited 10 minutes before receiving the menu that was thrown on the table. Another friend arrived and we asked for a chair, the only answer we got was "Can't you see I am busy, you are not the only ones here " So I told the boss that the service was terrible, "if you're not happy, pay and get out !" is what he said. I was shocked by the rudeness.

Not friendly, absolutely no sense of customer service. They clearly do not care about people. The food was nothing special. The drinks overpriced. "Arrogant" is almost a kind word to describe the crew.. please for this amazing village, a message to the owner : find another activity, you have no clue about what service...

R*cist or rude?! Maybe both. (Had to censor cuz google wouldn’t let me post otherwise). Would stay far away from this place so your vacation/mood does not get ruined just because people don’t like how you look. Refused to serve a group of us brown people certain dishes that they were clearly serving to other tables around us. When we called them out on their behavior, they pretended not to speak English - although we heard the waiter speaking perfect English to a table nearby. The waiter gave us our bill while we were eating without inquiring if we were done or not; clearly they wanted us out of the restaurant. Highly disappointing, especially in a highly frequented tourist town in a country with otherwise very...
