Soooooo good! Let's start with the food - we enjoy Thai food whenever and wherever we can, and we both decided it was the best pad thai we have had to date! We also had the chicken satay for a started, and my partner's reaction was to ask me to make it at home. Not sure I can. The service was one of the friendliest and nicest we've has thus far on our French journey, and the atmosphere was great as well - dab smack in the heart of Saint Paul de vence, with the church's bell ringing above our heads (for us it's a good experience, I could tell that for some around us it was a bit too much). So glad to have found this little gem 💎 We didn't have a reservation, but arrived a few minutes before opening and was assured to have a table. When we came back we saw plenty of "reserved" tables, and people kept coming to make ones for their groups.

Stopped in for a surprisingly good Thai lunch during a rainy day in St. Paul de Vence. After walking by initially and only seeing 2 very full tables in the dining room, we figured we were out of luck. But the gentleman assured us he could get a table ready in 5 mins or so. We had no idea there was a downstairs with several open tables, and after walking down the tight little stairs, we found ourselves at a lovely little table ordering some tasty food to warm us up and help us dry out. Service was friendly and helpful and the food was absolutely perfect. My delicious Tom Kha was just the right size so I could actually eat it all and my husband's Pad Thai was also tasty as well as the Mango Sticky Rice we wrapped up the meal with - so good in fact that we forgot to get pictures. Would definitely recommend!

Had a cute date by Sabai-sabai and was very fortunate that the kitchen was still open for us. The mango colada was quite strong (which someone people would enjoy) but I was really keen to try the banana colada which wasn't available. Pleasantly happy with my choice of the prawn pad thai, was a bit oily on the bottom but was happy with it either way. It was a lovely day sitting outside but the jasmine tea helped keep us warm in the shade. The mango sticky rice was a bit too sweet for my preference but the mango was nice and sweet. Would definitely come back for a taste of Thailand.

It’s a pity they don’t want business, couldn’t accommodate, uninterested in a table just shrugged and said it’s August despite there being empty tables that were never filled ! Apparently good if you are lucky and they like the look of you .. clearly we were out of French favour Interestingly and unsurprising that when we described what happened the restaurant didn’t like it. We wanted to eat there everyone told us it was good but unfortunately we were met with hostility and indifference and told that we should have booked (though we have never been to St Paul before) but should have known better in August! The indignation says it all but the response was hostile and unpleasant which was not what we expect - maybe a booking the following evening or another time - but no ! Just an outraged response to our enquiry about a table when there were clearly tables available. We sat next door and watched and stayed close by - hence a fairly accurate observation which was just an objective account of the experience. Restaurants can be judged as much on the pre service, responsiveness and welcome as on the quality of what is served - amazing how people forget what good...

A very pretty terrace up the stairs of Saint Paul de Vence with beautiful lights at night time. The Thai food was decent but not amazing. The service for us just took a bit too long that evening (over one hour to get food). It was very busy and we would appreciate knowing upfront how long it was going to take, but we just weren’t told and ended up sitting there for a very long time.

PS: In response to the owner’s reply below:

We didn’t come and request a table at lunch time. You must have mistaken us for someone else. It was a very busy evening.

We didn’t order one dish to share. We had the pineapple rice and the pad see ew. The food was ok but not amazing. I am Asian and I know what great Thai food is like.

I would suggest that the owner try to be a little less defensive. We didn’t expect food in 10-15 minutes but over an hour was too long. It would have been alright if the restaurant had informed us upfront, but we just sat there without any communication, and in the end the experience just...
