A nice restaurant, you clearly come here for the stunning view of St Paul de Vence. + the wide range of cocktails and mocktails, tasty and elegant. + the menu is rather small but great options, the food is qualitative, fresh and tasty. Maybe the main portions are a bit too small. I ordered the fish and only got a very small serving for main. You would need two sides in case you don’t get a starter. - the rhythm of the service. We ordered cocktails and were served rapidly which was great. However the starter comes in 2 minutes after so we didn’t really have time to enjoy the apero as food was served so quickly. The pace felt a bit rushed. - on the other hand we waited a long time for the mains (30 min). Fish was not cooked properly (slightly raw) so had to send back to kitchen as I’m pregnant. - service not on point. Had to call for the waitresses to get their attention (as I have been here many times I know this is probably a tourist high season syndrome). In summer it is missing a bit of a personal touch which unfortunately is the case at many of the restaurants on the riviera. - bread was not fresh (chewy) and water served was lukewarm

Ayoub was greattttt!!! The other waiters not so much. I was trying to tell one of the employees that i am lebanese and was surpised to see Tabouleh on the menu( a staple lebanese salad) and was even more surprised to know that they serve it with FETTA CHEESE !!!!! that is A BIG NO NO NO !!! You can't take a traditional dish and make your own twist to it and call it by its original name. It's better to write on your menu that you are serving tabboule with a side of cheese. It's like taking the french entrecote sauce and adding barbecue to it. Even if it's good, it is still frowned upon. Tabboule is simply made ( chopped onions , tomatoes, parsley and mint with olive ,lemon juice salt, black pepper/mixed peppers some add bulgur to it and some not .. )so keep it simple. As for the atmosphere , there was no music and it was extremely hot. It was like eating in a box of sardines. I suggest installing fans or portable Acs( you can find them anywhere in the middle east and gulf region)

My friend and I travelled from Canada and have been from Paris, to Avignon, to Cassis and now to the Nice area. We looked at reviews and decided on this beautiful restaurant and made a reservation 3 weeks ago. The atmosphere, sunset, and food were all exceptional - the server on the other hand did a disservice to the restaurant. On arriving we requested a change in seating based on comfort- and it went downhill from there. We were treated to disrespectful service and ignored for much of our meal. We spoke to the hostess as we we left to express our disappointment and were suddenly confronted by the server. I was and I still am shocked. This is not something we are used to as Canadians and certainly not our experience in France so far. We ordered a bottle of wine and 2 entées - for a meal that came to over 100 euros for 2 people one expects great service with a smile. Definitely not our experience.

The view is outstanding and cocktails are decent. However the food was less than mediocre.

Came to this place with a lot of expectations, as I wanted to go there several times when I was in Saint Paul de Vence, but never managed as it was always fully booked.

For dinner they have two sittings, at 19.00 and 21.00. Coming for the first sitting, we had the feeling everything was on fast forward and they were bringing the food “fast food style”, just to make sure you finish within the two hours. Very few minutes between the courses, so this sort of ruins the concept because you cannot have a moment to enjoy the place and the view.

For starters we had the burrata with vegetables: it could have been way better, as you can buy better quality ones from any supermarket, so for a restaurant which tends want to seem “upper-scale” this is not acceptable. We also got the goat cheese which was nice.

For main we went for the raviolis, which honestly were the best dish we had at this place. Very tasty. Also took the black angus beef tagliata with chimicurri sauce and a side of potatoes. The beef was ok but came a bit cold, even though cooked the way I asked for it and the sauce had absolutely no taste. Being a fan of chimichurri, this was a big disappointment. The potatoes however were stone cold. We did mention it to the waiter at the end and she said “she will inform the chef”, but they did not compensate for this even with a “sorry”.

For the desert we had the tiramisu which was very nice.

Big up for the fact that all waiters speak proper english, which is not common in the area. 99% of the guests of this place are foreigners.

Overall, for a meal that ended up costing 200 euros for two people it was sub-par. I would have preferred to go elsewhere, have the same view, pay less and probably have the same or better...

First of all, it is a very nice restaurant with delicious food and good drinks. Thank you to everyone who did a very good job that evening.

However, we were not treated well by our service staff. A mediocre friendly assignment of the table over a mediocre friendly reception of the drink order. Up until then, everything was still acceptable.

Shortly thereafter, we were told that our table was only available until 9 pm and that we needed to hurry with our order (by the way, we were not told this when we made our reservation).

After asking shortly before 9 pm if we could still order a dessert and a bottle of wine, we were not properly informed if we could stay or not (side note - ALL tables inside were vacant). The friendliness of the waiter at this point already left much to be desired.

Some time later, upon now asking the BOSS (?) in the service, he just threw at me that we were late and that it is our fault that we don’t manage to finish at 9 pm (2/4 people were there on time - the other 2 15 minutes late). He then simply turned to other guests and abruptly ended our conversation (is that really how you treat your customers????).

Nevertheless, we were able to stay a little longer (even if we were no longer welcome). When it then suddenly started to rain, we were the ONLY table not offered a table inside.

The following discussion is really not for the record - it ended with the waiter almost shouting at us. Personally, I never experienced a treatment like this before.

It's a shame that two employees leave such a bad overall impression.

And my apologies for all other waiters and bar tenders involved. You...

Ok, I hate to leave a bad review and can't remember the last time I have. I went to this restaurant several years ago and it was lovely and had an amazing time. Went again last night and, oh my, how it changed. It's hard to know where to begin and truly left feeling very unwelcome. The service was abrupt and rude and food was not good. Long story short about this, we (2 of us) get there and seated next to a loud table. It happens. But there are other open spots and might as well ask to see if can move, right? So, we did and were told no. Ok, no problem. But then the waitress immediately barked at us, "so are you going to eat?" Taken a little aback, we asked for a couple of minutes. In that period, another group (of 3) were seated next to us. They asked to be moved for the same reason we did (loud group). They were immediately moved. Hm, ok. The waitress then ignores us for a while. We have to grab her to order our drinks. She asks again if we are going to eat again (ok, mind you, I made reservations - this wasn't a "walk in / cocktail" situation). We say yes we are so we will order. Food comes quickly (a plus, I guess, though I am used to being able to take my time). But, it was extremely bland, almost no flavor. We had wanted to make a fun night of it there but by the time we finished the meal, we felt so rushed and unwelcome, we definitely felt like we just needed to leave and find another place that actually wanted our business. So, go for the atmosphere because the music and the view is beautiful. But the food and the service. Definitely left a lot...
