I am beyond appalled by the treatment we received at the door earlier tonight!!!! To begin- Place is very charming. The people that work as servers are nice and the food is decent. The restaurant has one big issue and huge liability- their greeting person at the door who is extremely rude, unpleasant, and frankly disgusting in his communication style. We had a huge issue with our friends trying to join our group for dinner earlier tonight. As we were waiting for them at the table, we received a phone call indicating that they were not allowed inside the restaurant without explanation. As we came to sort it out at the door, the bouncer said that «our friends can’t come in and that they can GO and have a good night. » We, of course, asked what seems to be an issue and why they are being so rude…-sadly the person refused to answer and repeated to them again-« to go and have a good night. » We then asked for the manager who quickly apologized saying « that it was probably because one guest was wearing shorts... » to which we pointed out- that « half of the ppl in the restaurant atm were wearing shorts and had no issues getting in as well as it was not a reason to speak like that to the customers. » After going back and forth, he manager agreed to let our friend in for dinner. Puzzled, we proceeded to the table. Now, we live between Israel, Dubai, and Miami and HAVE never experienced this kind of treatment before. It was crystal clear that the guy at the door had some personal opinion or prejudice against our friends acting in discriminatory way against them. As horrible as it was, the worst part was that that the Managment ( perhaps unknowingly) permitted and perpetuated this disgusting behavior by never apologizing for it or making any effort to make it right afterwards just defending their employer saying » he’s just security… » what does that mean? Is he allowed to treat people like s*? Does it make it ok to dismiss a person and tell them to « go have a good night else where??? » does THAT warrant the safely and comfort for the clients? Upon arrival, we were greeted by friendly staff who escorted us to our table. The location, right on the beautiful beach of Cannes, created a fantastic ambiance that immediately put us in a vacation mood. The view was breathtaking and truly added something special to our dining experience.
L’Ecrin Plage's menu offered an extensive selection of delicious dishes. From seafood to classic French cuisine, there was something for everyone. The quality of the food was absolutely superb. Read moreI recently visited L'Ecrin Beach Club in Cannes and unfortunately, my experience was far from what I expected, especially considering the high price of €130 for two sunbeds in the fourth row.
I arrived at 10 AM, with the beach completely empty, and requested to be moved to a row closer to the water. I explained to the receptionist that I wouldn’t be staying the whole day and asked to be relocated to a cooler and quieter spot until the other guests for the front rows arrived. Despite the beach being empty, the receptionist refused my request, claiming that all the sunbeds in the front rows were booked for arrivals throughout the morning.
To my surprise, when I left at 12:30 PM, the beach was still nearly empty (see picture). It was frustrating to see that my reasonable request was denied without cause.
The location itself is beautiful, and the sea is stunning. However, due to the poor customer service and rigid policies, I will not be returning to L'Ecrin Beach Club. It’s a shame because I would have loved to come back in the following days, but I cannot justify spending that much money to be...
