TOURIST TRAP - INTERMINABLE WAITING TIME - MICROSOPIC QUANTITY OF DISHES REQUIRING YOU TO MAKE YOU COOKING AT HOME WHEN YOU LEFT If you want to be tricked, head to this restaurant in name only. No one will greet you upon arrival.. Same for the order, I have to request a server. 45 minutes of waiting after taking the order, my son's Croque monsieur arrives alone, so we will eat staggered : it was burnt and his fries were still bathing in oil. Our “salads” arrived : thé 1re one with chicken is actually bagged salad with a few barely fried pieces of meat and royally containing 3 croutons! The second one also -called "freshness" is of a ridiculous quantity (but not the price of course) where we are clearly making fun of the customer: 3 shrimp, 1/2 avocado, 1 tbsp of crab mayonnaise, and the pom pom salmon barely 5 cm square (see photo taken at thz beginning) and usually I never eat more than a salad in a restaurant. I was soo angry and soo hungry that I quickly asked for the bill. Then, FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE I CAME HOME AND MADE FOOD FOR MYSELF because I was soo hungry!!! I don't know where the good opinions that deceived me into giving me confidence come from, but they distort reality. 72€ for an evening waiting for cheap “dishes” and where customers are made fun of, it’s a scandal! I obviously expressed my dissatisfaction to them, but the lack of staff cannot be a valid excuse to justify not putting enough ready-made industrial salad in the plate! I anticipate the establishment's potential response by already indicating that I will never return there and strongly advise against this restaurant. I hope this comment will prevent others from being screwed like me this evening, relieved of €72 and having to cook when I get home!
Read moreThe view was stunning. Even with the 60-year-old topless woman wearing a thong 🙄 However, highly disappointed with the rest of the experience. As someone mentioned earlier, service is at a snails pace. I ordered the sea bass, it was not awful, but it was underwhelming. Do you want bread? I said yes, please. The pigeons ate any left bread on the other tables they had a really good time, at no point did I see the staff shoo the pigeons away? They finally bring my bread, alas...no butter. Lychee mojito has one whole lychee in the drink for 12 or 14 euros. Don't quote me. The sea bass was on the dry side. The bathroom was pretty nasty, because it's part is the beach club, the floor is soaking wet. I'm in awe at the amount of French people who do not wash their hands, the The restaurant cannot do anything about the handwashing. However, they can mop up the 2 inches of water on the bathroom floor. Last, but not least I ordered an espresso, They do not take that long to drink however, I waited another 20 minutes to be able to even ask for the check. Finally, they brought it out the bill of £65 euros for a very mediocre lunch. Extremely slow service, sub par food and a...
Read moreWe had such a disappointing experience at L’Alba Restaurant in Cannes. After being seated, we waited for 30 minutes without any acknowledgment from the staff. The waitress in charge of our section walked past us several times, making eye contact but never asking if we wanted to order or even offering us a drink. When we arrived and explained we didn’t have a reservation, the waitress gave us an unfriendly look, setting a negative tone from the start.
Despite the restaurant being busy, with staff laying tables and clearly noticing us, we were completely ignored. It was frustrating to see them assist others who arrived after us while we were left waiting. The overall attitude of the staff was arrogant and impolite. After giving them some extra time, hoping the service would improve, we finally decided to leave. Unfortunately, the poor service completely overshadowed our experience. After experiencing such treatment I don’t recommend L”alba and of course, I will...
