Beware of this restaurant! We visited it with our kids on a warm October evening, erroneously singling it out from many other busy, equally promising establishments in Antibes Old Town. It was a very big mistake, which marred our otherwise pretty successful day. Having been Vietnamese and Japanese cuisine gourmets for years, we were quite confident of what we should expect when we decided to join the crowds in this Asian restaurant's street-front garden. Unfortunately, to our complete bewilderment and disbelief, we were shortly insolently ripped off like plain idiots. The highly praised children's menu was designed for two-year-olds, and was consumed by our seven-year-old daughter within the first three minutes. My dish and that of my son were served unexpectedly combined on a single plate so that my son had to encroach upon it with his cutlery to get his part. My wife's crab soup was abhorrently rank, smelling like decaying entrails in a filthy fish-like broth. Even after covering it with a napkin, the harsh stench of fresh faeces or a dirty pan was unbearable. Due to its separately ordered components that had to be subsequently supplemented with rice or some salad, the dinner was far from cheap, even compared with the other restaurants we visited in Antibes on previous days. The worst, however, came when we left. All the four of us became sick after a five-minute walk to our hotel. Halfway on the way my wife's stomachache was so strong that we were seriously considering if we should call the ambulance. After vomiting in the hotel and lying awake in the hope of ingesting this allegedly Asian rubbish until the early hours of the following day, we firmly decided to share our counter-recommendation with you to warn you against this place. We have also filed a formal complaint with the local health authorities to have this restaurant inspected for safety to human health and life because we found that there really has to be something wrong about it. Beware of this restaurant if you do not want to get sick. It has nothing in common with a decent...
Read moreA regretful dining.
My friends and I decided to dine in this restaurant as we were captivated by the beautiful atmosphere. We were sat down and we were delighted by the variety of food on the menu. Looking back I think the menu pages would’ve been the best food choice. My friend decided to go with a salmon dish served with a rice side, while my other friend and I got salads, one with tofu, the other one with crabs and shrimp. When the food arrived, our first bite was an immediate regret. Our salads were drowning in wasabi (which was not mentioned in the ingredients of the dishes) and my friend’s salmon was completely undercooked. When we reported this the waiters were nonchalant and passive, bringing back the salmon that was supposedly “more cooked” (it was more raw than before). When we mentioned this while asking the bill, they told us they were going to give us water on the house (the water aint gon save me during my future diarrhea explosion). One of the waiters also claimed that they were following “asian style” miss ma’m I don’t think asians have kaka explosions on a regular basis. All in all, if you still want to go to this restaurant, count your...
Read moreUne expérience thaïlandaise asiatique décevante à Antibes
