This place is an absolute disaster. If you’re looking for somewhere to ruin your holiday as a tourist, just come here. There is a pizza place right next to this restaurant that I decided to get food from and my partner got food from this place. Whilst waiting for her food, I had my pizza (unopened) for a while. Whilst waiting, the server took my partners order and did not say anything about the pizza box I had. Whilst we continued waiting I decided to start eating, and moments later one of the servers told me that I was not allowed to eat the pizza there and told me that the sandwich my partner ordered was now going to be as a takeaway which I was fine with and told the server that. She then told me again why I had the pizza there and that it was not allowed even though I was essentially done, again this was all said in such a rude way, in which I responded to her that you’ve told me more than once and we will take away the food. I was then told to educate myself and leave.

Then out of a sudden, a bald man who is the chef comes out of nowhere, starts swearing at me and throws my pizza to the throw and nearly shoves me off my chair. He starts getting extremely hostile towards me and starts to threaten me which I have on tape. Seemed pretty upset that I was having a pizza, maybe he just wanted it for himself? Who knows!

Superb superb superb restaurant that you should not miss.. a real diamond in the rough of a restaurant with great staff a brilliant maestro chef. Food in season.. This is the best kept secret of Cannes. The food is exquisite that just melts in your mouth. The best fresh food I have ever tasted in Cannes. Real home cooked hearty food with tastes that really melt in your mouth. If you like really good fresh wholesome food with wonderful service this is the place. I accidentally found it… walking past I noticed the number of smiling happy people and the plates of eye watering tasty food, my god it is amazing.. spoke to the chef and waitress after to thank them for such a great experience. Do not let appearances of this corner street near the bridge deceive you. It French so French!!! It well worth it… my advice make a booking, or just stand there and wait as it’s always full, park in the car park and walk over to this splendid establishment of delicious food and be prepared to enjoy every mouthful. This couple know how to run a restaurant, they have passion, knowledge and heart of real restauranteurs and you can tell… you will be well looked after and everyone is so satisfied as they eat drink and enjoy this wonderful establishment. We found this spot by chance on our first night in Cannes. What luck! We were jet lagged and just wanted to grab a quick bite before heading in for the night. However, we didn’t want to leave. Sven was welcoming and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed talking to him about his experiences as a chef and his extensive travels. I ate the couscous suggestion, and my husband had the loup. We each LOVED every bite! Sven’s wife was also delightful and provided wonderful service, even when the restaurant was extremely busy. We returned several nights later, and she remembered how much my husband had enjoyed the fish. Fortunately, it was available again 😋. I had a scrumptious Greek salad- it was fresh and filling. The portions are generous, the prices are reasonable, and the available drinks and desserts are fantastic, too. We’re back in Massachusetts now and lamenting the fact that the Seaside Cafe isn’t around the corner. We heartily recommend this spot and hope to return....
