Stayed at the Martinez for 5 nights and booked the beach everyday during our stay. One thing to know is that the first row is quite popular and often fully booked so better to book it in advance, ideally at the d’anévrisme as you book your room. The beach is on what of the best spot of the Croisette ensuring a nice stretch of white sand but more importantly a better sea quality (the beach if the majestic being at the end of the cove gets all the dirt by end of day). The design is elegant and you have attentive waiters roaming the sand allowing you to fully enjoy a luxury beach experience with cocktails, drinks and food served by your sunbed. You also have a great selection of Watersport activities with parachute, bouees, waterski ans private cruises. Super fun!! The restaurant provides a delightful shaded area and being on the shore you can enjoy a nice breeze even on hot day. The food is carefully crafted and of high standard for a beach restaurant offering creative takes on local dishes as well as fresh fish and seafood from the day’s catch. The fried calamari runs out in 30 min so make sure to order it ahead. The carpaccio was divine, the gambas were delicious and the dorade my personal favorite. The Caesar salad are also worth mentioning as well as the tagliata of beef. The service is great although the restaurant pave can be a bit slow so don’t be in a rush and...
Read moreAll the waiters were very kind and professional — we truly appreciated their service. Unfortunately, the manager’s behavior completely ruined the experience.
When we arrived, the bar was almost empty. We asked for a table for seven people, but they couldn’t provide a proper one. We were given a temporary table, and a few minutes later, the manager rushed over, claiming it was “reserved,” even though the previous guests had already paid and left. He moved us to a worse table and said he would seat us back once he confirmed the others were gone — which never happened.
Later, when we politely asked if we could move back, they suddenly invented a “deposit” rule for that table, which had never been mentioned before.
To make things worse, the security guard at the entrance refused to open the door for us at first — a very strange and unpleasant attitude toward guests.
For a bar of this level, such behavior is unacceptable. As regular residents of Martinez, we are deeply disappointed and won’t be...
Read moreOur 2nd visit to Le Jardin du Martinez started a bit confusing because the host didn’t want to sit us just for appetizers and wine, only for “big plates” as she stated. So when I responded that we will order the “big plates” she had to “check with the kitchen” if they were still serving food. This is 9:30pm. Another waiter came by and asked if he could help us so I explained and he just sat us at a table and at the same time the hostess came with her “ok” and brought menus. Then we sat there looking at all the servers converse to who was going to take care of our table. 15 minutes later we were approached by a very friendly waitress that took our order and brought us a great bottle of Sancerre. The food was very tasty but it is clear that they are still figuring out the service at the restaurants. I really hope they get it tightened because the hotel is beautiful, the location cant be better and the food...
