Miramar Plage — Restaurant in Grasse

The beach is nice, no doubt about it. Comfortable sun beds, although too close to neighboring sun beds - typical for France. But the workers are not honest. We called to ask about prices and availability, everything was fine. We arrived in 20 minutes, the last 2 rows were empty, but the young employee said it was fully booked. Within 20 minutes :) of course, by the end of the day the last row was empty. In the south of France, like in some poor country, money is sought everywhere. Because of this, we don't want to go back there anymore. Especially since there are plenty of beaches in Cannes for this price.

P. S. After the second, even worse experience, I am editing my opinion. First of all, no one from the staff gave us the version that the restaurant owner presented in his response. Each version is different. Secondly, the beach worker today had the nerve to express his displeasure at receiving a true but unfavorable review. Only in France "beach boy" - with all due respect - can treat customers like this, in no other country is this unthinkable. And you only need to travel a little to see the difference in customer service. We are in a free country, so we have the right to say what we want and express our opinions, right? While leaving the beach for lunch today at another place and leaving our things, a beach employee ran after us to pay for the water... after all, the things we left on the beach are more valuable than the water. We couldn’t have chosen a better place for our last meal in the South of France to celebrate my birthday and our honeymoon. When we walked down the stairs to the restaurant, we were so impressed with the elegant and relaxed vibe. We were kindly greeted and taken to a table right on the beach! Once seated, I couldn’t believe how soft the sand was, and the sunset sky was ethereal. They had great music played by a live DJ and a man playing the sitar which really added to an exotic but low key atmosphere. It was such a treat sitting down for dinner with the love of my life, with sand between my toes— romantic would be an understatement. It was endearing to see children playing on the beach, and guests bringing their dogs to dinner too. Our waitress was attentive and sweet. Now, for the food: we have been in Europe for almost a month and my husband and I were truly impressed with our meals. We shared the chicken spring rolls— vibrant and fresh in flavour with great texture. For my main dish, I had the truffle risotto and it was the best risotto I’ve ever had—creamy luxury flavours. My husband said his filet mignon was the best he’s ever had— buttery and tender. What a beautiful experience to eat such delicious food on the beach in the South of France.
