Tacky.

Food: Good. Location: Excellent. Service: Good (with one exception).

Price: Very expensive. To be expected due to the above 3 points. We enjoyed our drinks, followed by our meal. All was good until we were paying our bill. Our server asked if we wanted to add a tip…on top of the tip that was already billed. Although we spoke English to each other, my husband is from Cannes and our family spends several months a year here. This is the first time in 25 years that a server has asked us to add an additional tip. And I do believe this is the first time in our lives that we’ve been asked by a server to tip, on top of their tip. I do feel she was taking advantage, thinking “Americans don know the tip is included”, or maybe thinking we were tourists, she just did not care. Very tacky end to an otherwise...

The quintessential snooty French waiter works here. It had rained and the waiter dried my wife’s chair and the table but NOT my chair. I asked if he could dry mine as well but he could not find a dry chair for me. That is NOT what I asked. Eventually he did dry the wet chair for me and subsequently got the order wrong in the bar’s favour. A pint instead of a small draft beer and a more expensive gin... typical. The tonic came from a filled up Kilner bottle and was flat. He wouldn’t give a refund but offered another filled Kilner bottle. No thanks! Probably been sitting there all day or even longer. It’s a popular place and no doubt they don’t care who comes and goes so it’s up to you in the end but I wouldn’t come back if it was the last...

If you’re here to make friends, then you’re in the right place. Too expensive, low quality. You’re paying to eat at Cannes, yes. But not for good food. My partner ordered the chicken and was asked by the server » and for the side dish? » my partner said fries only for us to get the bill charging 6 euros of the fries!!!!! I ordered the « fresh salad » the sauce was mayo and ketchup with tiny pieces of shrimp and a whole lot of hard to chew greens.
