At first everything was fine but as soon as we got our food my friend noticed there where small pieces of hair in it..

That wasn't even the problem. It's how the waiter/restaurant chef (I think) handled the situation. He denied ist, got mad at us, blamed us for the hair (??) and then finally brought us other food. But even there were pieces of hair in it. He again blamed us for it and my friends blonde hair (we didn't even touch the food and the hair pieces were black).

But besides that he even asked us disrespectfully for a tip (as if we were supposed to pay it)

Excellent food. We had pizzas that were cooked in a proper stone oven and they were delicious and well-flavoured. The view of the river and mountains surrounding Grenoble is lovely but unfortunately we were subjected to a plague of insects and both myself and my mother were bitten but my brother was not. The insects were everywhere and we had to go inside as dusk fell and they were constantly on us which was very unpleasant. Great Italian style pizza! The place has some tables outside facing the river, not far from the city's iconic "téléphérique", and it's a nice setting when the weather allows. Otherwise, the service is good. I wouldn't expect smiles if you don't already know the owner, but he is talkative if you make the effort of making conversation. And a good price as well!

Overall, in the warmer days, it's a great place to pretend...
