The restaurant is easy to find and there is underground parking. Inside is clean and they can accomodate big groups of 50+ people but need to make arrangements first. The service is ok nothing extra. Came with a group of people for dinner but I don't recommend this place for some reasons...the waitresses didn't smile once while we were there, at least when you see the group coming in smile, the ladies looked like they are fed up with their lives or work in a mortuary. Some of the dishes where ok but no where near an italian food. The pastas were brought out almost cold felt like some cheap supermarket ready meal, and were tasteless. The pizzas were ..ok. Wouldn't recommend bringing any groups here or coming at all there are other places to eat. Some dishes had to be changed due to staff not paying attention giving us a fed up face for no reason. The whole place has a no atmosphere vibe. A good thing was that they spoke English even if it looked like they are forced to. Inside was clean and you have place move around without bumping into other people seating. Outside...
Read moreProbably the most surreal dining experience I've ever had. On staff were only 2 servers to seat, take orders, run the food, and check out. About 10 tables were occupied in an enormous dining room with no music; the room was dead silent except for the other customers' grumbling and chewing, Yes, one of the servers was "new" but the other wasn't much more competant. I asked 4 times for water, then ordered pasta but it arrived completely plain. They forgot the sauce! No butter, olive oil, seasoning, nothing. When I told the server, he said I forgot to specify I wanted sauce... on my pasta. Only positive point, my friend ordered a pizza which he said was actually good. The lone server took so long to seat guests that the cook eventually came out to bring the food and seat other guests. The next people seated after us gave up and left after waiting so long. I'm sure with more competant and experienced wait staff this could be a decent Italian place, but Dellarte is simply an unpleasant place to dine until they iron out their...
Read moreI've always found that for a chain restaurant and especially another 'everyman's' Italian restaurant d'El Arte can be quite good but you have to choose carefully. I stay away from pizzas. I chose a vegetable starter then a pasta rigatoni with pesto sauce and chicken topped with cherry tomatoes. A good value midday menu at 17Euros, glass of 1664 beer / still mineral water or glass of 'house' wine included. I've eaten at d'El Arte many a time and never been disgusted. What's more I've always found their staff well trained in welcoming people. In a word,...
