Breathtaking view of Paris!
Where do I begin…
First of all, the booking process was very good as I contacted the restaurant to ask them if they were able to accommodate wheelchair users in their restaurant. The response was very fast and the hostess asked for all necessary requirements for the party which was very caring of her so shout out to Sarah.
I must say, I read the reviews here first and they were a lot of people complaining about not having a table facing out to the Eiffel Tower. However if you wish a picture of the view, you can always go straight to the glass window and enjoy your meal with your guest.
Upon our arrival at the restaurant, we sat at the bar to wait for the rest of the party where we had a delicious cocktail while enjoying the magnificent view of Paris.
Once sat at the table the waiter gave us the menu and allowed us some time to choose our selection of drinks and food. I was very impressed since we had English speaking guests and he was able to interact with them with very good English and he made them feel very welcomed.
Afterwards, the course went quickly one after the other (we were 7 so they had a lot of work) which was very good and in the meantime the waiter was also taking pictures of us enjoying the nice atmosphere of the restaurant which is very chic and very demure.
At last, we noticed that the Eiffel Tower started to sparkle at midnight which was amazing considering the beautiful view. I strongly recommend booking your reservation at 9pm if you can (3 weeks in advance as this is the earliest you can book to guarantee you to have a chance to experience this) this was ”la cerise sure the gateau!”
Overall the experience was excellent. We paid approx £100 per head and left a tip to the waiter for his excellent service hosting us. I definitely recommend this place and I will be back for sure, for sure 😉
Shout out to the The hostess, bartender and the waiter. I did not catch their names but they were working on Saturday 6th October in the evening.

Read moreFirst of all, the waitress had such a nasty demeanor. Kept calling my gf “lady”. But we let it slip cause we figured English wasn’t her first language so at least she’s trying to speak it. But she seemed to have an attitude throughout the whole service! We ordered water, juice and wine, and thought we’d get them right away. Let’s just say we got our food before our drinks (so 30 mins later), I told one of the waiters… is it possible that the food comes before the drinks (especially the bottle of water)?! I specified that I didn’t like “allium”. So preferably no onions, garlic, spring onions, shallots etc…especially if they can be removed like when they’re garnish. Waitress told me our chef is very important and will not adjust AT ALL unless it’s an allergy. First of all, I’m paying good money so if I want my food without cebette (for instance), then you do as I asked! I’m not asking the chef to adjust and change the whole formula and recipe for me (even though most fancy restaurants would do just that if I asked). How hard is it NOT to put the cebette on top of my ribs or aubergine? They just don’t care at all. The chef is very important? Really? I go to restaurants like Laserre, Le Clarence, La Grande Cascade, Alain Ducasse, etc… This is on the level of Quick or KFC compared to the places I mentioned! Ribs were 5/10, nothing special at all. Miso Aubergine was disgusting. It’s SOAKED in miso. So soggy and gross. Octopus and Potatoes were ok. Spicy tuna was bad!
Don’t get fooled by the great reviews of this place. They probably have low standards or are maybe carried away by the view...
Read moreOverall, we had a very nice lunch here. On the positive side, the view is amazing, the decoration is very nice, the food was truly excellent, and the surroundings are interesting from an architectural standpoint. Also, don't miss the toilets one floor above which are a piece of art.
Regarding the service, the first half of the lunch went pretty well, but for some reason, midway, service became really lousy. Our waiter was rarely around. We had to ask for water several times. When water came, he would serve just a few of us and then disappear again without leaving the rest of the jug on the table. It took a very long time to get the dessert menus, then the order, then the bill. In the meantime, the waiter's shirt had a few very visible stains which was surprising for a restaurant of that standing.
And to top it all off, when we left, the person in charge of giving us our coats back was very unpleasant and unprofessional. First, she was talking on her smartphone to her cousin and asked us to wait a couple of minutes before giving us our coats back. As she brought the coats back to us and we were picking them up one by one, she complained that we were too slow (we weren't) and that it wasn't her job to carry these coats. Finally, when we pointed out that there were two coats missing, she rolled her eyes and expressed disdain before going to get them.
Still, overall we were pleased with our lunch, but what a sad way to ruin an experience that could have been exceptional, with such...
