TOO TacTac — Restaurant in Paris

A beautiful view, but the worst service I've ever seen! Almost an hour in line to get in, another half hour at the bar to get a drink and we were never given a table... We tried to sit down as we noticed a few vacant tables. A rude waitress came and told us that they are the ones who decide who sits and that only groups of 4 or more can get tables. We were a group of 4, but the other 2 members were in line at the bar, so the waitress did not believe us and kicked us out of the table. Fed up with standing we went out to the terrace in the cold November weather to finish the evening to the only free tables. So almost 2 hours of total waiting, no table and beggar treatment. And there were even some free tables inside, meaning the staff is disorganized and does not know how to optimize time. Plus I didn't understand what they were doing with the table lights, they were moving them around without much sense. Once we got into the elevator to leave the building other people asked us if we too had had a horrible evening, so we understood why this bar/restaurant has such a low rating: a lucky few get a seat and the rest of the people go from one queue to another and are treated poorly. Choose another bar/restaurant to relax because this one will make you more nervous than anything else, they just offer...

I wish I had read the comments before coming to this place… Rude and stressful service overall, the waitress was nice but I bet she can’t do nothing when her manager says is time to push people out of the tables… When you reserve a table they enforce 2 hours per table policy; truth is they hush you away by picking unfinished dishes as quick as possible and clockwork 1 hour and a half they already start kicking you out! Not one but two waitresses in less than 15 minutes came to our table to enforce the need of moving to the bar or the windy terrace even if you haven’t finished your drinks. What’s more surprising is the manners in which the front desk lady make sure you understand you have top max 2h once you are given a table, and insists you 2h is 2h but they will cut you short! I definitely don’t recommend this place for the service… if they enforce questionable policies due to “high-end” standards managers must make sure they give high-end services which clearly the are incapable of reaching. I was on a trip to Paris and a friend of mine recommended this place for a dinner with a nice view. We made a reservation for 2 and later realized we booked the wrong time. Tried to modify it online but couldn’t so I tried calling and I was put on hold. We got on our way there while I was still on hold. We decided to make another reservation for the time we were gonna be able to arrive there just in case so we are not left without a table. We arrived to the restaurant while still on hold on the phone. I explained the situation to the hostess and she said it would be fine. A few days later, I found a credit card charge of €100 for a no-show. I called to clarify the situation, the person who answered said could not help so I emailed the restaurant with my situation and still hasn’t received a reply.
