I am sorry to say this restaurant was a let down and we should have left right away. We spoke with another couple who was having a similar situation. When we arrived few people were there. It was kind of cold out . The less than friendly hostess (kind of chunky woman) asked us drink or food? We didn’t know if we wanted to order food but asked to sit inside but she said no. The little tiny seats were jammed together so tight that we started walking toward a table on the end so my husband (who is 6’2”) would have more room. She said no and tried to seat us in a table where we were between two sets of people and we didn’t fit so we sat at the other table and it was barely more spacious. She slammed menus on the table and asked what we wanted to drink. The red wine (6 euros each) came in a baby wine glass and tasted terrible, meanwhile others (French speaking) were enjoying larger glasses of wine in literally different glasses. What really upset me tho is she assumed I did not speak French or understand it snd started talking about us to a colleague. This is terrible business practice and well she blew any tip right there. She thinks she’s running the place but the reviews are going down because of her. She’s rude to tourists and well let’s face it it’s a lot of tourists. DO NOT EAT HERE would be my advice. It’s a rip off . The meal was so so, expensive and the baby glasses of tourist wine was terrible. This woman is the stereotypical French person to tourists and frankly you don’t need it! There was another couple within ear shot speaking about how rude she was and on the train another couple who had eaten there said it was terrible. We are Americans who have traveled to 71 countries and eaten at a lot of restaurants....

We first entered the restaurant and nobody greeted us? There was only one other customer sitting inside. My husband had to ask if we were supposed to seat ourselves and were told yes. So we sat down and were handed breakfast menus. 2 minutes later another staff member told us we couldn’t sit inside and we had to sit outside, they didn’t apologize for their own staff/ co-workers mistake for the inconvenience and awkwardness. Well, we went and sat outside like they told us to. The waitress came by and asked us what we wanted. We ordered 2 cappuccinos, a croissant, small pastries from the breakfast menu they gave to us. The waitress told us that they weren’t serving breakfast anymore, so we couldn’t order small pastries or a croissant. My husband asked her what we could order then? She angrily pointed to the same section we just ordered from? So my husband just asked for a different item? He asked for a tart and she wrote that down. She did not ask us if we wanted anything else and just walked away? I can’t believe what rude service!! I will not recommend this place to anyone I know! I gave a 2 star only because the cappuccino was good. I would give zero stars for the service! The best part was when the waitress never gave us the lunch menu, which she gave to the other table? I’m guessing this staff pick and choose who they will be...

The food was not tasty at all. I ordered Pork Filet which was so bland. I even needed to add a lot of Tabasco to be able to finish this dish which was way overpriced. The waiter, Matthis was very rude. I don't speak French, and he doesn't speak English very well. He didn't even try to understand what I was trying to tell him, but he blamed on me instead. What kind of a waiter is this? How could the restaurant owner hire this kind of employee? Bad service!! and when I finished my meal and paid money, and walked into the restaurant to get out, he said something in French with the waitress, Louise in a joking way. They both are so rude with ugly attitudes towards a customer. Seriously, how could the owner hire these rude employees to provide services to a customer? Or does the owner have the same attitude and behavior as these very rude waiter and waitress? I came to eat food and pay money, not for free or charity. So shouldn't I receive some decent service? The food was really bad and overpriced, the service was really unbelievably rude, and the waiters and waitresses are uneducated with ugly attitudes. This is a nightmare!!! They should treat everyone equally even they don't speak French. What a bad service and...

This restaurant is located at the entrance of the Monet's garden so it's a place full of tourists. Most of the people there, including us, had less than an hour to grab a quick bite, so the quality of the visit can be spotty and hurried. We had a good experience there on our visit. The ham omelet was good, the accompanied green was fresh. The Monet's salad was full of seafood on top of a fresh heap of green. The basket of fries was hot and tasty. This was not haut cuisine, but for everyday food, this place did a decent job. They forgot to give us butter for our bread, but we enjoyed it anyway. It is a tad pricey for what it offers. But this is where tourists are more willing to pay a bit more, as they have limited options.

Had attended the Claude Monet Tour, our tour guide Vincent of Paris City Vision suggested that if we would like to enjoy the best Apple Pie Giverny has to offer, try Les Nymphéas. The place was scenic, service was fast even though the French guy was a bit impatient. Though that is usually the case in nearly most area in France or it maybe bec there are a lot of tourists. I forgot to take photos of the menu, but the apple pie is I think around 8.50€, same goes with the home-made ice cream parfait. I find both desserts perfect. I forgot to take a pic of the apple pie and when I realized it, we'd eaten the 3 slices we'd ordered. The coffee, which was an Americano, not so much.

We stopped here for lunch during our visit to Giverny and were pleasantly surprised by this charming French café-restaurant serving simple yet delicious fare. We ordered the chicken with tartar sauce, chicken nuggets with fries, and a Lorraine quiche accompanied by a side of fresh greens. Every dish was freshly prepared, served promptly, and arrived warm and flavorful. The restaurant offers a variety of seating options—indoor, outdoor, and shaded patio—with plenty of tables available. It’s a convenient and inviting stop, perfectly located for a meal before or after visiting the Monet mansion.
