I recently dined at Aux Moules de Lille, and it was an outstanding experience that truly captures the essence of this charming city. We enjoyed an excellent moules frites that was simply perfect—a classic dish that lives up to its reputation in Lille.

We visited this restaurant for dinner yesterday and it was by far the best food experience we've had in France. We usually go to places where we can see a lot of local elderly population eat so that trick worked wonders with this too. The place is amazingly presented and the staff were the stars of the day trying to help us despite the language barriers.

The sea food platter was great and was very reasonably priced compared to other places we've visited, this might be cos we have just come from Luxembourg where sea food tends to be 10 fold more expensive than here. I tried the frog legs for the first time despite being warned that it's an acquired taste. It was pretty good and I can buy into that. The salad was ok too.

I would highly encourage people to look somewhere else to eat. After being in Lille for a month, this is by far the most disappointing place I have been for food. The chicken I was served was overdone and looked like leather, not to mention cold, as was the sauce. Half my meal was forgotten by the server and I had to remind them to bring it out, which was also cold. The photo I included in this review was after I had picked at the meal a little, but it really looks barely any different than when it was first served - I forgot to take a picture when it first came out because it was such a disappointment.
