ElephanThai — Restaurant in Lille

I have been to this restaurant too often to dislike it in any way.

The owner, Chanda, is an absolute sweetheart. She's super friendly and so is the rest of the staff.

I've tried nearly everything on their menu and never been disappointed. They use good ingredients and good produce, which makes the food that much more delicious. It is also why, even though their prices are (very) slightly higher than other thai restaurants in Lille, it is great value for money.

It's very close to the main train stations in Lille. I strongly suggest trying the place out if you have some time when passing through Lille.

Plus jamais !!! On ne peut même pas parler d’accueil; je ne sais même pas si la dame qui a l’air d’être la patronne a répondu à mon bonjour, aucun sourire, plus l’air d’être dérangée que d’avoir envie de recevoir un client. Un temps infini pour que nos deux plats arrivent alors qu’il n’y avait que huit personnes dans le restaurant, lorsque j’ai fait remarquer que mon plat était complètement froid, j’ai eu droit à une tête jusque par terre. On me l’a rapporté dans une assiette, toujours aussi glacée mais le bœuf était complètement recuit, dur et sans saveur, accompagné d’un riz sans goût. J’ai demandé l’addition à la personne toujours aussi déplaisante, toujours pas un mot, toujours pas un sourire.
