Estaminet Hein — Restaurant in Lille

Great modern spot hidden just next to Lille Flandres station. They manage the perfect blend of hipster bistro and authentic northern estaminet. Their cheeky branding is somewhat heavy-handed but works well, and their beers are very solid. The Welsh rarebit is good, their beef tallow fries don't match the level of a proper friterie, but are good nonetheless. Friendly, down to earth service combined with modern menus (pay by qr code at the table).

My friend and I had dinner at your restaurant this evening at around 7 PM, on September 17th. The food, especially the Carbonnade and Welsh, was absolutely delicious. Thank you for a wonderful meal. Was looking for somewhere to eat near Lille Europe station (all the restaurants in the station are pretty bad) and found this place. I was pleasantly surprised and if you love beer you must come here. They have very unique beers that I believe are mostly all made there.
