La Table d'Edouard — Restaurant in Lille

This restaurant is PACKED at lunchtime, but they found and started clearing a table for us. Since the place was so busy, and they only had 2 people serving, it took a while for them to finish clearing the table and remember to bring menus. We did, thankfully, get drinks fairly quickly.

Once the food was ordered, however, everything sped up nicely.

My freshly cooked scallops were just fantastic! The portions are massive, and everything appears to be freshly cooked, as far as possible. The steak haché was cooked to my daughter's specification, and the duck was excellent for my friend. Also excellent...

Very very bad service.. worst experience in Lille.. We went there reading the reviews.. but the behaviour of the staff and the reviews do not match… we do not understand if the reviews written are really true..no other restaurants in Lille behaved this way, I think no restaurant staff in the world would behave so.. the owner was not ready to serve only a starter to a kid who did not want to eat..The expression on their face was the weirdest. We do not suggest anyone visiting Lille to eat at this place .. you will loose your mood and spoil the rest...

Great place. We arrived at 230 place was empty, but they still accomdated us 2 adults 2 kids. Bread,2 steaks and chips, a rare hambuger pattie and chips, whole baked camembert with ham steak and chips all served with salad. Had lovely beer. All in all for a big plate of food and a drink each about €13 we were full.... The girl was nice and although we found it hard to communicate was should with us as was the boss. Nice simple home cooked food. Not fancy, but at least you leave satisfied
