UNAMI Maison de Thé — Restaurant in Lille

I visit this tea house quite often but haven’t felt motivated to write a review until now. The decor is absolutely beautiful and zen-like, creating a serene atmosphere. There’s even a small outdoor yard with bamboo, which adds to the tranquil vibe. Every time we step inside, we’re greeted by the soothing aroma of tea and the calming ambiance it brings.

You can stop by simply to enjoy a cup of tea of your choice or purchase some tea bags / accessories to take home. They also serve desserts baked with tea powder, which I find uniquely delightful. When you order tea, you’re served a small ginger sweet and a tea-flavored cake—a lovely touch that complements the experience.

A la recherche de thé(s) pour un cadeau mon choix s'est porté sur Unami afin de sortir des grandes marques connues de thés. L'endroit avait l'air sympa alors j'ai franchi la porte.

C'était un peu compliqué parce que je n'avais aucune idée des goûts en thé de la personne donc j'ai joué la sécurité et j'ai pris un coffret avec 7 sachets de 50g (30€). Du thé vert, noir, aromatisé ou non, une infusion et un roiboos. L'assurance donc qu'au moins quelques uns plaisent ! C'est aussi une bonne façon de faire découvrir le thé à des novices afin de savoir ce qu'on aime ou pas.

Il y a une belle sélection de thés dont certains plus rares et précieux que d'autres. Ils sont classés par gamme comme le vin qui peut aller du vin de table aux grands crus. Et les prix grimpent en conséquence. De jolies tasses aussi, des théières, des thermos super beaux (et chers), des filtres, des boites, bref une boutique autour du thé ! Ah et il y a une boutique en Belgique aussi et sinon on peut commander sur leur site internet.

Il y a également un salon de... thé (ça n'a jamais aussi bien porté son nom !) vers l'arrière qui fait aussi des déjeuners (même le lundi !) je n'ai jamais testé mais j'espère pouvoir le faire avant de partir de Lille. C'est un peu élevé comme prix mais ça a l'air tentant.

Here you will find all the teas you can think of! The workers treat you nicely and they help with your questions. We enjoyed a nice tea in the tea room. The Blanc Kombucha was also delicious. However, the service was very slow today, probably because it was saturday and it was busy. I also missed a bit of a more cozy decoration in the tea room, but that's a matter of taste.
