Le Versant — Restaurant in Limoges

Since most restaurants in Limoges are closed Mondays we stopped in Le Versant for lunch. We had high expectations but we're disappointed. There was only 1 plat du jour (daily special), not to our liking, so I ordered from the regular menu; the Veal Burger (€19) for myself and my wife chose the Estivale salad (€16). Though the veal burger was large, it didn't taste much. Had only a very small amount of baked cheese in the bun and almost no sauteed onions, so overall it was just ordinary and surely not worth the price. The salad was rather small and mostly featured 2 large falafel balls that weren't good. What a strange combination for a salad? The balls weren't made right; far too large and the interior paste wasn't cooked enough and seemed to consist of far too much flour. Really inedible. What a waste of money. The main waiter had a very loud/strong voice which was annoying in such a small space for the restaurant. On the positive side, the wine was quite good and the environment warm and inviting. Nice restaurant in the old town , we sat up stairs . Service was very good , food very good , portions a bit small , "set menu" mains and desert 16e . Small beers over priced at 4e a small 25cl bottle , so 8e a 🍺. Wine again pricy 5e 🍷All in all ok for a light lunch. At 45e for 2 👯‍♀️ . We had the small chicken breast, on a small plate to make it look bigger than is was, nice trick, cluck...

Nous ne sommes pas là pour débattre de la qualité de la cuisine car nous ne l’avons pas goûté.. Pour vous re situerez nous avons réservé dans la semaine une table pour 3 personnes pour aujourd’hui afin de partir en congé avec mes collègues sur un bon repas, qui pour le coup n’as pas eut lieu.. Pourquoi me direz vous ? Car effectivement nous avons réservé notre table pour le service de midi et une fois arrivé sur place et bien POUF comme par magie notre table a disparu ! Notre réservation bel et bien inscrite dans le carnet de réservation mais notre table inexistante.. J’imagine que vous souhaitez connaître la solution à notre problème ? Et bien on nous a dis gentiment «  on a pas de table pour vous nous devons vous refuser et nous vous donnons un bon cadeau » Bon cadeau que je précise que nous avons décliné car nous ne sommes pas de la région! Une grande déception! Si vous souhaitez allez déjeuner en ses lieux faite attention à votre réservation et je vous conseille de réservé dans un autre restaurant au cas où afin que vous puissiez vous restaurer, car nous nous avons fini à manger...
