Le Père Camembert — Restaurant in Lisieux

There is no worse experience than someone trying to deceive you in such a blatant way. My wife and I ordered a set menu that included a starter, main course, and dessert. Apparently, the dessert wasn’t included—according to the gentleman who served us (first deception)—so we ordered one to share. The bill was simple: 2 set menus plus the dessert (€49.80), and the receipt was correct, so I proceeded to pay by credit card. The card reader asked for the PIN... surprise! The machine displayed €79.80. Had it not asked for the PIN, I probably would’ve been tricked right away (though I would have realized it later). Lovely and cosy local French food restaurant is located just opposite of Saint Catherine church.

We ordered 6 main courses for each person and turn out more delicious than we expected.

First mussels with french fries (which they called signature fries) , second is also mussels and shrimp with cream sauce , these 2 dishes are very fresh with delicious cooking . I think this is the must try plates here.

Third is risotto with scallop , this risotto is above average in my opinion compare to any other place I have ever tried

Fourth is fish and ship , fresh and good quality

Fifth is Camembert cheese with some side dish , the last is garden salad with cheese

Toilet is very clean here, Staffs here are quite friendly and can speak...

Wonderful lunch. Reasonable prices and frankly, I believe they had the best Muscles of all the places we have eaten. They appeared of higher quality and were quite large consistently... (Maybe luck of draw... but other places we have had Muscles have appeared much smaller in size... Not an expert in Muscles so take for what it is worth)

The Scallop and Shrimp Tartar was very tasty to me... My wife wished it was more in the style of Ceviche, however, she still enjoyed the dish.

We also had the Honfleur Casserole. Excellent.

Honfleur has been very good for restaurants.
