The Master of Art — Restaurant in Loches

Make a reservation at this great spot, because this place fills up quickly. There is only seating for 20 and when you see the size of their kitchen, then you understand why. That being said we were super happy with the food, my husband, daughter and I had the plat du jour which was duck with prunes and cider, served with linguine, and salad. And the hot wine was amazing and perfect for a chilly October day. My daughter and I split the cafe gourmand which came with cheese cake, pumpkin cake, salted caramel pie and sweet semolina ( still not sure what this was, but it was light w a vanilla flavor). I've been looking at my photos on the one year anniversary of my vacation to France last year thinking how I never reviewed my favorite places. So here I am, one year later, and I have never forgotten this meal. It was the best meal I had during my three weeks in France--and that's saying a lot! The quiche, cold tomato soup, and salad, as well as the nougat ice cream with berry compote. I actually had tears in my eyes when I ate it.
