Étoile d'Asie — Restaurant in Lyon

We arrived without reservation on a Saturday night and decided to try our luck. The place was completely full and there where 10 people waiting for a table...but the waiter told us to wait for a couple of minutes... an then was able to offer us a table in the garden. Awesome !

We had to wait pretty long for the food, but it was definitive worth it.

We had the crab rolls (indescribably delicious), the duck on hot plate (spectacular, but a bit short on the rice) and the Bo bun cha gio (pretty good).

They offer 4 Vietnamese Beers and a couple of interesting desserts and liquors.

The service was genuinely friendly, the atmosphere was just perfect.

One of the best pho restaurant I have had in Europe. Small menu compared to your typical place but I do not mind that at all infact I think it’s a plus. My only gripe for this meal was one of the shrimp bun with spring rolls were abit too wet diluting the sauce perhaps and soggy spring rolls, but everything else was amazing especially their Beef tartare!...

My absolute favorite Vietnamese restaurant in probably all of France! The flavors of each dish are super authentic. The staff is really lovely and the owner takes a lot of pride in using fresh and quality ingredients. I took a Vietnamese friend to this restaurant and she loved it. It's my go-to Vietnamese restaurant....
