We are pho lovers and Pho 69 do serve the best pho we've had to date. The chicken pho soup was well balanced with just enough aromatics. Generous portion of chicken meat and they tasted fresh and tender. Both raw+cooked beef pho and stir fried beef pho were just as delicious. Could taste the char (stir fry) taste in the soup in the stir fried beef pho. Mango salad and chicken wings were scrumptious too. The talented chef was able to create well balance taste of saltiness, sweetness and sourness. Perfecto😋 .
Set your expectations right. This is not a fast food restaurant nor fine dining. It's a small and casual family owned restaurant with limited resources. The restaurant incl its toilet is clean. Both waitresses were attentive. The more senior waitress was kind to inform us to check out their English menu on Google map. It has food pictures and easier to understand than the physical French menu. She was also very helpful when we asked for more info. We appreciate her recommendations as we enjoyed everything we ordered including the soursop frappe.
We highly recommend Pho 69 for authentic...
Read moreSmall, very cramped restaurant! Tables not cleared or washed for when we are seated! In pots: Mismatched damaged chopsticks, very dirty forks and poorly washed spoons! Traditional PHO soup is exquisite but not much in it; in a small, STINGY basket, very little soy, coriander, lime! No bottle of black sauce or spiracha pepper! No Vietnamese desserts: 3-colored coconut milk ice cream! Missing traditional Vietnamese dishes: ban xeo; bun bo hue; mi xao wok; whole roast duck and rice... They don't do discovery plates: 2 samosas + 2 spring rolls + 2 nems + 2 Ha Cao + 2 fried shrimp fritters! The garnished dishes are very good and affordable! Too bad, coffee and jasmine tea are not offered! Always full of Vietnamese peopleAlways full of Vietnamese! Friendly Vietnamese atmosphere![Much better than woko stingy with a very small bowl of noodles and rice, very bland broths and only three meats in it! No soy basket, no coriander, no mint, no lime pieces! We're still hungry! 3 tiny STEALISH banana spring rolls, very expensive! Bumble tea,...
Read moreWe ordered pho and bun bo, and both were outstanding. I was born in Hanoi and were desperate for some comfort food after a rough night out so would have been happy with half the quality but I was surprisingly blown away. The pho had a rich, aromatic broth with tender beef and fresh herbs, reminiscent of what you'd find in Hanoi. The bun bo was equally delicious, with perfectly cooked noodles and a flavorful broth. The portions were generous, making it excellent value for money. If you're craving genuine Vietnamese flavors, this restaurant is a must-go! Super nice people and I didn’t speak French but they understood my north Vietnamese well (which I was shy about) - thank you, all round! Wish I was...
