I don't usually write reviews but this place deserves 5 stars review. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Le Comptoir Libanais and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed! From the moment I walked in, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. One thing that really stood out to me was the authenticity of the food. It was clear that every dish was prepared with care and attention to detail, and the flavors were truly incredible. To top it off, there was an impressive selection of wine including wine from Lebanon, all of which were delicious and paired perfectly with the food. The food was well presented, and it was clear that the chefs take great pride in their work. The staff were also very knowledgeable about the menu and were happy to make recommendations based on my dietary requirements. The atmosphere was cozy and intimate, making it the perfect spot for any occasion. Whether you're looking for a romantic dinner or a casual catch up with friends, this restaurant has got you covered. Overall, I would highly recommend this Lebanese restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic and delicious dining experience. The staff, food, and atmosphere all exceeded my expectations and I can't wait to go back!

Excellent food with a nice variety of dishes. We had the mixed meze sampler which was a great way to try a lot of different things. The dishes were prepared very well and you get plenty of bread with all of the spreads. Ambiance was great. Service was just ok, we waited over 30 minutes after finishing the main course to choose the dessert that came with the sampler. We also ordered a bottle of wine and the waitress came to open it, poured the taste, then walked away before filling the rest of the glasses which was a little off-putting. Overall great food, but a bit pricey. For example if you want to add a falafel to the meze mix it’s €2.5 per falafel ball and an additional €6 to add a skewer of meat. If you’re looking for something other than French food this is a nice refreshing option.

I have to say, I ate the best muttabl I’ve ever tried here. I also really liked the dulme too. They were amazing. It was so good, we forgot to take pictures of! 😂 but I have to say, the main dishes we tried are not extraordinary. They are somewhere in the range of average. I also expect the meat to be well cooked as it is the case with most middle eastern kebabs. But it wasn’t like that. Also, it was not as tender as a French steak if I have to compare! Anyway, i loved the food. I asked to replace the hummus (because I simply don’t like them) with muttabal in the dish, where the waiter told me it’s not possible. After insisting, she proposed to replace it with a garlic sauce. It was ok. Anyway, we decided to order muttabal separately which was a great idea.

I was very disappointed by what was supposed to be a fantastic experience at Le Comptoir Libanais. The server/waitress didn't even give me a menu upon being seated and once she finally did she didn't return to my table to ask for my order until I finally went to the till at the back (where all the servers congregate) to ask if I could please put in my order (this was now 45 minutes later after my arrival). To have no one even ask if I wanted to order a beverage, I told the waitress this is completely unacceptable.

Given that it's not a large restaurant, you would think the attentiveness would be higher. Multiple times I tried to make eye contact with the waitress, however, each time I tried to obtain the gaze of the waitress, she would pick up her cellphone and proceed to be preoccupied by texting or browsing. Management should discuss this issue with their staff. Being that they were not a slow night, being on a cellphone during dinner service looks very unprofessional to guests.

I was this close to walking out after waiting for almost 1 hr to order, but I thought I would let the food redeem the experience.

To my dismay, I was rather disappointed by the quality of the entrees. My starter was pleasant. The rest of the food was subpar.

For a 4.9-star out of 5 restaurant that is not a basic cafe, I was surprised by the limp and greasy french fries that accompanied my meal and shockingly dry beef kebabs. Tiny skinny sticks of beef mince. I will absolutely not recommend this restaurant to my colleagues or family. You will be better off at one of the bouchons in...
