Boy did we get lucky! We were wandering around small streets. Almost went past this bakery. The incredible appearance of the bread in the window stopped me in my tracks. We went inside actually thinking that we may just take pictures. They graciously allowed us to do that. Everything that we saw was so delicious looking. The two young people that greeted us(I completely forgot to ask their names) were such sweet people. We did end up buying different things. Plus a Panatone that is actually the best that I have ever had. I am going back to arrange to have that and maybe a few other items shipped to me in Los Angeles. They helped us with suggestions for a lunch place in the area. The very nice young lady followed us out to give us their flagship cake. More like a chocolate bread with chocolate and more chocolate. Read moreCe matin, je suis entré dans la boulangerie pour acheter un café, quelques viennoiseries et une quiche. Je ne parle pas très bien français, mais j’ai clairement demandé à faire réchauffer la quiche.
Lorsqu’on m’a remis la commande, la quiche n’était pas là. J’ai demandé ce qu’il se passait, et la vendeuse — une jeune femme blonde, de petite taille — m’a répondu sur un ton sarcastique : «Mais vous avez demandé à la faire réchauffer, alors il faut attendre.»
Finalement, on me l’a donnée après un certain temps, et je suis retourné à mon hôtel juste en face. En l’ouvrant, j’ai constaté que la quiche était complètement froide.
Je suis revenu la déposer sur le comptoir, sans rien dire.
Le service a été vraiment décevant. Il est évident que je ne parle pas bien français, mais au lieu de faire preuve de patience ou de bienveillance, on m’a parlé très vite, sans effort de compréhension.
