My wife and I had dinner here on our first visit to Lyon ever. It did not disappoint!!! The amuse bouche was a tasty surprise full of flavour to start off the evening. Our favourite dishes were the courgette/zucchini, smoked mackeral churros (lovely), and beef tartare which had flavours like I've never ha anywhere else (from the herbs etc). It was a shame we had just arrived after a long flight and hadn't found our appetite quite yet. We had to forego dessert unfortunately.

The service was welcoming, very friendly, and helpful as my wife and I tried to figure out what to discover from the very interesting menu. The lady was so kind and patient with us in English (given our not-so-great French).

Thank you for a wonderful...

Of all the places we ate in Lyon, this was the best – a huge surprise given its optimal location! Service was both excellent and very genuine, and food was both delicious and good value (we had a starter, two mains, two desserts, two cocktails and two other drinks all for under €90). We liked the mixture of traditional and more international and inventive dishes, as well as the relatively small menu (always a good sign). Nice atmosphere inside with a mixture of locals, visitors and expats – an overall friendly vibe mainly aided by the very nice staff. They graciously welcomed our last-minute, late booking and didn't rush us at all when we were the last customers there. Couldn't...

We came to Lyon for the food. This place did not come anywhere near expectations. Drinks and service was great. None of the food impressed. We received a sample that was bland and needed salt. Our charcuterie board had good meats and bread, but that was it. No mustard, jelly, nuts or other garnishes to help it go down. My wife got a polenta dish. Just fried polenta, mushrooms and butter. Bland with no herbs or seasoning. I got something that said “chicken.” It was okay - edible. Processed mush wrapped in a flaky crust. Some good seasoning and fresh dill. But not really what I was hoping for. Some carrots. No green vegetables...

Bondy Bistro in Lyon is a modern establishment with a great vibe, offering a fresh take on the traditional bistro experience. The food is nothing short of amazing. I had the haddock with spinach hummus, and for the main course, the vitello tonnato both were exceptionally delicious. The experience was further enhanced by the excellent service. The lady who served us recommended a superb local white wine that perfectly complemented the meal. Bondy Bistro is a place I will definitely return to. The combination of modern ambiance, outstanding food, and attentive service makes it a standout in Lyon.

Recommended by our hotel. The servers were too busy talking to each other to pay attention to customers, but were nice when they finally deigned to pay attention visit. The salmorejo (cold soup typically smoother and more velvety than gazpacho) was fantastic and the fish was excellent but we didn’t like the sausage and wasn’t hot on the recommended wine. Luckily the server took the wine off the bill because we didn’t touch the sausage.
