There's no way the reviews here aren't fake. It was the worst dining experience I've ever had.
I ordered the vegetarian mezze, afterwards the server came to me with a different, sketchy menu and asked if I wanted something from there. I told him I'll stick with what I ordered. He decided to bring me something off that menu anyways, the plat falafel, instead of what I ordered. This "plat falafel" is essentially a deconstructed falafel pita, and they charge 17 euros for it!! Yes, 17 euros!! I don't think I'll ever get over paying that much for a bad, unassembled sandwich. The hummus was cold and acidic like supermarket hummus, it must be full of preservatives. The pitas were cold. They didn't even bother to put a salad on there, just some cut up vegetables and pickles. When I told the server he didn't give me what I ordered, he claimed that the vegetarian mezze is only for takeaway, that being an obvious lie. The cherry on top? They didn't even know the password to...
Read moreThank you Le Grand Liban! Our experience was exceptional, from start to finish. We were there for a special occasion - my husband's birthday - and Lebanese food is a favorite, so expectations were high. We arrived 15 min before opening, but were welcomed from the chilly night into the restaurant's warm atmosphere. We ordered the mezze and grill for sharing. Everything was delicious - fresh ingredients, bright flavors, and appetizing variety. In particular,.we enjoyed the talouk and kafta skewers, fatoush, tabouleh, and kebbah. We only wished they would have warmed.the bread. They brought dessert out with a candle and music, which was a nice touch. My husband said it was the best meal he'd had on our trip! Lyon is obviously full.of amazing dining options. Le Grand Liban is a great choice and alternative to the bouchon menus, and heavy cheese and cream dishes. We highly recommend Le...
Read moreAs a Lebanese, trying lebanese food abroad is a tricky thing. I would criticise harshly every aspect of the experience.
The staff is very welcoming and professional. The portion is huge, I couldn't finish my plate. They are very generous and the plate looks delicious. The tabboule is very fresh and tasty. The grilled platter consist of 2 kafta, spicy potato, hommous and moutabal which are done exactly as it would be in Lebanon.
The experience here has taken me back home, if you are looking to taste the real lebanese cuisine THIS IS the place to go to.
Even the music is lebanese.
Thank you "Le Grand Liban" I will most definitely come...
