L'atelier des saveurs — Restaurant in Lyon

Today, I had an amazing dining experience at this restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff explained to me that all the dishes are made with seasonal ingredients. They also mentioned that the menu changes every month, which ensures that everything is incredibly fresh.

We came in for lunch and was sat upstairs which looked a bit less nice than downstairs but that’s just personal taste. The iberic sausages and cold cuts plancha was delicious and probably the highlight of our meal. My dad tried to order drinks but they didn’t have any of the options he kept choosing, finally decided on a beer but when the server opened it it was just foam. Came back to tell us the beer isn’t good and cant serve it to us so we need to pick something else again. Food wise, the portions are quite big but and the taste was okay but for the price I was expecting something a bit more surprising and delicious, the only dish I liked in the menu was the soup appetiser. Première fois dans ce restaurant décoré par le portrait de Paul Bocuse, la carte donnait envie, les prix sont abordables pour le niveau de cuisine, on teste !

Nous étions 7, à notre arrivée, je demande s'il est possible de rajouter un 8ème couvert, la serveuse me répond qu'elle va se renseigner (?) et ne revient que 20 minutes après, pour enfin installer la 8ème personne... puis tout le long du service, la serveuse était froide, pas du tout aimable, encore moins commerçante, nous enlevait des assiettes sans qu'on ai finit, nous devions réclamer plusieurs fois eau et pain, franchement pas top.. seul le Monsieur (le gérant ?) a été commerçant et agréable avec nous, et a sauvé les meubles car c'était vraiment mal parti !

En ce qui concerne la cuisine cependant, rien à dire: un bon choix de plats, ni trop ni pas assez, les quantités sont suffisantes, très belle présentation, et parfaite maîtrise de la cuisson des viandes comme des poissons... c'était délicieux. Les desserts idem bien présentés et bons, moins fan de la déclinaison autour du chocolat un peu écœurante à mon goût, mais le reste un sans fautes. Les cocktails sont originaux et bons, et de bonnes bouteilles de vin nous ont été conseillées, ainsi que les digestifs.

Nous avions demandé une bougie sur un dessert pour un anniversaire, rien n'a été fait, ni musique ni bougie ni rien, un peu dommage c'est pourtant courant dans un restaurant... ça va avec le reste du service qui n'était pas à la hauteur du lieu.
