After reading the reviews, we made sure to line up at least 5-10mins before opening. We are glad we did as the queue got very long, very quickly. No reservations are allowed. We were let in promptly after this. The server was very friendly and helped us understand the style of the restaurant as we did not speak good French apart from the very basics. The food came very quickly, about 12-15mins after ordering? There’s only 1 food in the menu and that’s the steak, sauce and fries. Keep that in mind. Before coming here. They serve you a lettuce salad with bread as an entree. I loved the flavour and the type of dressing they used. Then came the Steak with sauce. Not sure what I was expecting with the sauce but I expected a bit more depth in the flavour, in my opinion it was a bit one dimensional. It was ok though, not bad but not amazing either. I wish the portion was also a bit bigger and the beef could be a bit more tender but it was cooked ‘medium’ evenly throughout so that was impressive. It was well seasoned. They also served unlimited fries and although it was nothing special, it was freshly cooked every time it’s served. I would say it’s similar to McDonald fries, well salted and slightly oily but I like my fries like that. Didn’t try the desserts so can’t comment on that. Overall, I’d say, try it if you haven’t been before but don’t expect too much. It was €22 each for the steak and Unli fries.

If you haven't been before it's important to know the only main course is steak and fries. The only option is how you like it cooked. Do not bother if you are vegetarian or vegan. As a group of 3, we started queuing just outside the door but were waiting less than 10 mins to be seated. The service is quick, and the staff we interacted with were very friendly. The steak was tasty, there is a secret sauce they used which was really nice. Unfortunately, what accompanies the steak is just a mountain of fries. It would be great to have some other options, but this is their trick to getting people in and out quickly. Saying that we never felt we were being rushed. The wine went well with the steak, and the dessert menu had plenty of choice. For 3 people with wine and desserts, it was a little over 100 euros. Overall it was very good and I would come again

We ate yesterday at this restaurant. The service was below average. The waiter had temper in the first 30 minutes of our visit and while taking the order. The food was ok and honestly i find it to be less meat and a lot of fries. The fries had no taste. One of my friends didn’t even touch them. The manager never checked on us or asked us if we were satisfied. The waiter didn’t even ask us if we wanted another round of fries for the second round of meat. I needed to use the toilets but couldn’t because of how dirty and smelly they were. You can’t even breath down there. It was disgusting to enter. To keep it short: customer service below average. No customer attention at all. No welcoming staff. Food is average. Pricing average. Disgusting toilets. I honestly prefer Le Relais de L’entrecôte when it comes to this food for the price. Don’t think I’ll eat here any time soon!

I really loved the concept of this place! They only serve steak frites which is what we were looking for. Also they have unlimited refill of their fresh fries! We were greeted immediately and sat. Our serving was professional and nice. I could see he was so busy but managed to communicate with each and every table on his way back and forth! The restaurant is not known for its meat quality but their sauce. The steak sauce, a butter garlic and herb. It was so good we were mopping up the sauce by the end. Also don’t skip the Dijon mustard sauce to dip along with your fries and steak as well. The server was so kind even served us fresh fries when our fries got cold from the first serve!! Everything was so great, can’t wait to come back one day!

I'm a satisfied customer. I came 5 mins before the restaurant was opened at 7pm and managed to get a table without any hassle. The meat was perfectly cooked and the sauce was TO DIE FOR! I wiped out all of the sauce on the plate with my bread as my last resort to savor all of that flavour. Fries were offered fresh all the time and regularly. The service was top notch. Princess was in charge of the area I was sitting at and she was fast, attentive and the most important of all: very genuine in her work. She went out of her way when a customer next to me needed extra help. She always spoke with a smile on her face with everybody. I really commend her, the entire team and the food, I will definitely be back when I come to Lyon again

One choice only for their "entrecôte" of course, which means a steak cut from between the ribs. It includes a starter of green salad + steak in their special sauce that i can't tell what exactly it is + all you can eat homemade thin crispy fries at 21eur . There are more choices for drinks and desserts. There were complaints about their customer service but we were quite happy both times we came. They were super busy but still quite fast to serve. And the waiter at the inside corner on the ground floor was friendly and helpful. Also it's worth a try for their Le Mount Blanc desert for any sweet tooth.
