Absolutely MEDIOCRE service from the staff there! My husband and I came inside this restaurant to grab a coffee and something sweet. We arrived there at 12:13 and we go up to see if there are any places left for us to sit. The first thing I noticed was the staff helping customers to get seated and I went to ask one of the servers if there are any places left because I saw that there were about 5 free tables(which were covering 1/4th of the 2nd floor). She told me that those tables were reserved for 12:15 and that if we want to get seated we would have to buy something first because how it works she said people get seated by turn which if it was that way we would either get a number or we would have to wait in a line so that’s exactly what we did.
We came up since the first floor was full and we saw that all the places were taken except for the reserved tables. I said to one of the staff the people that are supposed to be here are late, it’s already 12:30. They told us they are supposed to come and no one can sit there. I’m not going to tell anyone how to run their business but to allow reservations in a touristic restaurant? I’ve never seen that in my life and I told them listen in all the restaurants I’ve been the max waiting time is 15 minutes for reservations. She went ahead and told us that this is not a restaurant which again doesn’t make sense, you are making and serving food. So what we did is we put the tray on the reserved table and waited standing up for someone to finish. I also asked the same lady how much do we have to wait for you to consider to cancel the reservation by that time it was already 12:40 she said another 15-20 minutes to which we didn’t believe her and also we asked her is it possible just for us to sit and drink our coffee finish our dessert which would take 5-10 minutes tops, she said that she would have to clean the table after that, which means that she did not want to clean the table again after we finished eating.
And so we were standing there with our trays for 20 mins. while everyone was sitting down and enjoying themselves, the lady that was working there offered to put a standing type of table and we refused because everyone was seated and we should too. We got fed up, my husband took the tray and put the coffee’s and the desserts in the trash and we left the restaurant. I am not even complaining about prices, because it's well known that touristic places cost a bit more. But sure I wanna complain about the staff working there. The closing time it's at 20.00 I went to have an aperitivo, a glass of wine at 19.30 Maybe late, but I should be notified about the time. So basically I got the wine, sit down to drink it, 5 minutes comes the waiter and yell from far, you have to leave the table. Not I am so sorry we are closing, need to remove the table or whatever else. Yell for 2 tables far, you need to leave. So I got up with my husband, and went to the entrance , standing next to the door with the glass of wine. I dont know how about other people, but if I get a wine, I like to enjoy it, I won't drink it as a shot of tequila. So next time, the staff should not serve a drink if there is no time. Temps un peu limite dehors et venteux Mon amie sort de la queue pour prendre la dernière table au rdc Magnifique à 17h40 pour un établissement qui ferme à 19h Magnifique car très peu de table au rdc Magnifique car l’essence même du site est la salle du 1er très vaste et surtout extraordinaire de par sa vue imprenable panoramique sur tout Lyon et sa luminosité incroyable

Mais nous n’avions pas tout vu… le cauchemar côtoie l’horreur quand vers 18h20 la Manager lance ses 3 ou 4 soldates d’un ordre militaire indiscutable dans le nettoyage du rdc…. Rapidement nous nous retrouvons au milieu du balayage du sol les chaises propulsées sur les tables L’efficacité est au rdv. Il n’est pas encore 18h30, mais gentillement nous sommes pousser de nous presser vers la sortie De fait les derniers clients, eux, ont compris et déserté les lieux La VAE reste accessible et possible Nous sommes seuls encore assis Notre présence n’a plus de sens Si ce n’est d’emm…….
