Wallace Bar — Restaurant in Lyon

Horrible place. We called in advance to ensure they were playing the England-Wales Women’s (I preface this because this is the reason they wouldn’t show it) Euros game in the evening and we were told that they were. We travelled across town to come and arrived 5 minutes before kick off but they refused to play the game because “no one wants to watch it”. They were instead playing the same men’s football game on every single TV in the pub. We asked if a smaller TV could be switched to the women’s game and they still said no. In the end we missed the whole game because we couldn’t find anywhere in the city that was showing the game. What’s worse is that the French women’s team was also playing that night and that game wasn’t showing either, so that tells you the real reason behind it not being played. You can’t advertise showing a game to then not play it when people have come to watch it because you don’t deem it important enough. We saw the game on the schedule sheet behind the bar and so it was a managers decision to not show the game. Disappointing and won’t...

Definitely the coziest pub looking at the Saône's dock. Variety of drinks, got nice food too, and even if you don't drink alcohol, there's a variety of virgin cocktails and beverages for you. Either sitting outside and directly breath the cool breeze of Lyon's shy river, or get inside for a totally cool bar, televisions for sports and lovely waiters and waitresses to serve you food if you're hungry, and/or fresh drinks to share with your friends, family or colleagues.

Make sure to come visit if you ever do oldtown (Vieux Lyon) or even come down from La Fourvière, get yaself a drink like a good lad, then hit off the road with a cheer it up...

We were waiting outside for a table as a group left a table a server asked us if we were wanting food or just drinks. We let him know we wanted both. He said give us a minute and we will clean that table for you. Another server cleaned the table while we stood by and waved us over when she was done. As we approached the table a third server brought over another group and told them it was their table. So we are all standing at the table and the girl that cleaned it said she cleaned the table for us. The third server had a group of 3 and we were 2 so she decided the later arriving group of 3 gets the table and pointed to another table in direct sun that we could have.
