Didn’t love being surrounded by smokers on the outdoor patio. Not particularly scenic either and the indoor alternative was hot and stuffy. Food was good. The oysters were not my favorite (heavy ocean flavor and not cleanly shucked and even the smallest oyster was pretty large. Just personal preference to eat smaller sweeter/mineral flavored oysters like you find east coast US) but the sardine brioche and bone marrow were both great. The zucchini carpaccio was fun as well. Staff were very nice and spoke English for the most part.

I would like to review the food but once we arrived at the restaurant we were not welcomed how it would be expected by any place you’re bringing money to. Although we had booked a table we were literally thrown on an indecent metal table next to the door, we left after not receiving any attention for five minutes. It was very uncomfortable and the funny thing is that I got fined for not having respected the reservation -.- This was the worst service ever experienced!

Food, wine and overall service was great! One little unfortunate detail was the woman who welcomed and seated us. Our table was not ready when we arrived (which is no problem at all, we didn‘t mind waiting) and she was visibly annoyed by that, which in my opinion you shouldn‘t show to the client if you‘re professional. In fact she didn‘t show one friendly face while we were there and generally seemed hating her job, which makes me wonder what she‘s even doing there?

Look, there’s something about great service that can make an entire experience — even make up for mediocre food.

We were hesitant to go after reading some of the comments, but it was a Sunday, not much else was open, and we were craving seafood.

The vibe, though, is off and it didn’t feel welcoming. A good-looking concept, sure, but one that feels designed to work on tourists. Our brunette waitress was rather unfriendly, more interested in chatting with her coworker than checking on the guests — forgetting to ask us about water, serve the standard bread or showing us where to find the menu. We tried to counter this by being extra nice, staying patient, but she gave off the impression that she’d rather be anywhere else.

Food-wise, the meatballs were extremely dry. The big crevettes, on the other hand, were excellent. Tuna crudo was fine, so was the Aioli.

What was a little off putting was the man behind the counter preparing the seafood. He kept picking his face, blowing his nose, and looking just as unhappy as the waitress.

The place could seriously benefit from friendlier service and staff who actually want to be there. No matter how “hip” the concept looks, a soulless vibe simply...

The restaurant is great, also the selection of natural wines and the price-performance ratio of the food is excellent! I'm giving it 5 stars because the restaurant actually deserves it, but I'd still like to give some feedback:

We were in the restaurant and yes we spoke broken French and some English because we just didn't know the words. The waitress was reasonably friendly but I wonder if they just didn't like the fact that we didn't speak perfect French. In any case, we were the ONLY ones in the whole restaurant who didn't get a water jug, bread or lemon tissues. We always had to draw attention to ourselves when we wanted something, at the same time everyone around us was always asked if they wanted anything else. We were also not made aware of the dishes of the day.

That was a bit of a shame, especially as I don't know this behaviour from the otherwise so relaxed natural wine scene. Nevertheless, I will go back if I am ever in Marseille again, maybe they will take...
