La Piscine — Restaurant in Marseille

One of the many restaurants along the quay of Marseille’s old port and I never expected the joy of the meal they served. It was one of the best fish dishes I’ve ever eaten. The whole fish came perfectly cooked — crisp, golden skin and moist, flavorful flesh that slipped clean from the bone.

It was topped with a bright Provençal mix of chopped sundried tomatoes, red onion, garlic, herbs, and a touch of capers in olive oil — like a tomato-forward relish that added depth without drowning the fish. Every bite tasted fresh, balanced, and alive.

We recently had the pleasure of enjoying a wonderful lunch. I had a very good burger that was simply outstanding. The meat was perfectly cooked, juicy and flavoursome. The combination of fresh ingredients made every bite a delight.

My Girlfriend had moules-frites, which were also excellent.

Special praise goes to the waitress with the swimmer's tattoo on her arm. She was very nice and made our lunch even more enjoyable with her friendly service.

Comment voulez vous passer une agréable soirée entre amis,qui ne connaissaient pas Marseille de surcroît, dans un restaurant qui avec le froid glacial et le vent qui sévissent actuellement à Marseille n'a que des tables installées sous les arcades.Nid à courants d'air ,bâches plastiques et chauffages de la grandeur d'un grille-pain. Manger avec manteaux et doudounes un repas acceptable sinon délicieux dont le prix est élevé comparé à d'autres restaurants de même qualité!!! Le renom?? Justement quand un chef étoilé accepte des clients lorsque les conditions pour apprécier ce qu'il nous prépare ne sont pas respectées il vaut mieux fermer en hiver et accueillir les touristes quand ils peuvent profiter de la vue et d'un repas digne de ce nom. A fuir pendant le froid. Un plaid est proposé mais où a- t -on vu ce genre de chose dans un restaurant reputé?? peut- être dans une paillote en bord de mer.
