The kefte was so salty that it hurt my mouth and I could barely eat half of it. It was also very red and raw inside. There were Lebanese women at the table next to me who sent their meat back because it was raw - but the chef came out and tried to say that if he cooked it more then it would go black! What rubbish - so meat can only be burnt or raw?! You can cook meat thoroughly without burning it. Every restaurant I ever went to from Mukhaim Yarmouk to Shatila to Ramallah has had no problem cooking meat.... The waiter (and the chef) seemed unhappy and like every question or request was a bother to them. I wouldn't return here but I imagine for tourists it's nice for them to try something different (there aren't that many Syrian-Palestinian restaurants around) and it has a good view...

While many other restaurants in the port area seemed quiet, Yasmine was full of guests, and for very good reason! The food is delicious, with excellent prices and hospitable service. We ordered the beef kebab platter, with a great selection of sides you could choose among to customize your meal. I was especially happy to have dolma (wrapped grape leaves), pilav, yogurt, fattoush, mutabal, kibbeh -- such variety of tastes! My favorite dish was a type of musabbaha which I haven't had since I went to one of the famous hummus bars in Tel Aviv.
